Anet please add vendor value to all festival items. Posted: 11 Oct 2021 06:55 AM PDT Its one of the worst feelings to do the festival content and then get potions, foods, rotten eggs tranformation tonics and whathaveyou that i then have to drag and delete because vendors dont take them. It would make the experience so much smoother and enjoyable if every festival related drop could be sold even for a couple of copper. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 10:17 PM PDT Seriously. Why is this a thing? If I'm doing the time trial I don't want to participate in the race, so stop asking me and filling half my screen with the obnoxious popup at the start of every lap. You should have to interact with the race organizer to participate. They shouldn't be interacting with you. [link] [comments]

Should we have resources for “training-wheel” group PVE builds? Posted: 11 Oct 2021 01:52 AM PDT From a newer player's perspective, most people wanting to get into high-end PVE content (fractals, raids, strikes) are directed to Snowcrows, Discretize, and Metabattle. But that could feel very intimidating - the rotation is often very complex and some builds are so optimized that they require very high skill level to play properly. Most builds could actually be made much simpler and more survivable by not swapping weapons, using less skills, or switching stats/runes/traits, at the cost of <15% DPS. This would allow newer players to have an easier time with rotation and surviving, allowing them to focus more on mechanics, meaning less wipes. Certain support classes could also use more cushion in their boon duration, and could provide boons by simply doing 1/3 of their optimal rotation. The following are some ideas off the top of my head: -Mirage can just dodge and press 1 -Renegade and Soulbeast can just camp shortbow -Scourge can take tormenting runes for much more sustain, and, god forbid, run parasitic contagion -Firebrand can use something like Plaguedoctor for much more HP Yes, they could just go play DD or Scourge, but I believe having resources for these type of builds would help ease newer players into harder content and let them play the class they want. They can enjoy content, die less, and still do their job without having to spend too much time learning at the golem. Hopefully this could lead to more people coming in to the high-end PVE scene. Disclaimer: I really appreciate what members of the community already do to help us with build research, I just feel that there's a lack of guides for those moving from open-world builds into raid/fractal builds. I myself am not a pro; I've just started raiding, strikes, and T4 fractals, and personally enjoy build-crafting. This is based of my personal experience moving from casual builds into more optimized stuff. There's a chasm in between the two. Edit: thanks to everyone for the input, a few people pointed to Snow Crows Beginner Builds, which I did not know existed. On another note, I completely agree that new builds are more of a hassle due to the cost. It would be better to just have another version of the rotation that's been simplified. Also, maybe this new page can use exotic gear in the preview instead of ascended? Just to help people get over the "I need ascended to do raids" mentality. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 12:03 PM PDT WoW back in its prime had development with this fundamental approach to keeping the game populated. We seen in GW2 how the community reacts to these silent long gaps in expansions. Go back to the community reaction to the Ice Blood Saga reveal. Don't go this route again. Iam not saying dont do Living Story stuff. But the community will feel much more secure knowing that the lead developers have future expansions in mind for the future development instead of leaving us in silent limbo on the subject of future expansions. EoD will have some Nostalgia value for some, but not so much for most people. I believe it would be in the games best interests to change their approach. [link] [comments]
Why is engineer the least popular of all the original professions? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 10:11 AM PDT According to this, engineer appears to be the least played of all the original professions by quite some margin. In fact, Revenant is the only profession below it in terms of play time (but not in terms of characters). I've always wondered why, but have never gotten a firm answer. It's been a mystery to me since it's been one of my favorite professions since the days of early access. [link] [comments]

[RTI] Raid Training Initiative is organising a Halloween treasure hunt + fashion contest! Posted: 11 Oct 2021 08:48 AM PDT Hey all! Given that Halloween is coming up soon, our raid training community [RTI] is organising a Halloween-themed contest with a sizeable prize pool over on our Discord. All you'll need to do is find the five in-game locations in the screenshots of this album and take a screenshot of your character in each of those areas. The participants that found all five locations and took the best-looking screenshots with the most tastefully spooky characters will qualify for the prizes! To participate in the contest, you need to post your screenshots in the And of course, feel free to stick around in the Discord and join us for our PvE raid trainings. We organise an average of over 5 raids per day, many of which are geared towards new players and all of which are geared towards people with little to no KP. And hey, if you've never even thought about raiding before but consider yourself a fashion and exploration mastermind, then maybe winning our Halloween contest will give you enough gold to get a character ready for raids and get started! Sounds like a solid game plan to me. We hope to see some of you participating in the contest or even in-game! [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 10:33 AM PDT Shame! You got those groups that do 2/3 fractals and someone drops, put 't4 dailies' in the lfg, do the 3rd fractal and leave that new person to lfg for the other fractals that they need done, or redo what they've done. Either have to ask if its an actual fresh group everytime and hope they don't lie to you, or host my own group from now on. Just had to rant somewhere ty gg [link] [comments]
Pet issue with my Soulbeast Ranger and mounting. Posted: 10 Oct 2021 04:59 PM PDT It seems like something changed in the last few days and I'm having a problem with my pet being dismissed constantly. I used to start fights on my raptor and then my pet was there and everything was fine. But now when I go into combat from my mount the pet is dismissed and I have to enter Soulbeast mode and then leave if I want my pet out. Which often times I do because I want my bear to take pressure off me. [link] [comments]

If I wanted to play a heavy armor class, is Revenant a good option for a semi casual? Posted: 11 Oct 2021 07:08 AM PDT Hey all, I want to try a heavy armored class. I've had my eye on Revenant for a while, but I've been reading that they are unrewarding, and complicated to play. I like the idea of swapping legends out (I had fond memories of 'stance dancing' in vanilla WoW), but I also don't want to play something as complicated as my engineer. Thanks [link] [comments] |
