    TL;DR the 100k post on the weekend is fishy. Also, don't gamble kids. Or rather don't gamble at all.

    I'd like to call out /u/Cogima for their 100k ToT bag post as the numbers don't line up to what the actual drop rates are and with such numbers there should be little variation between different openings. The candy corn amount was the thing that primarily drew my attention as it was just 170k compared to the 330k-ish I got last year. So I did my opening and divided the results by 2.5 and compared to theirs. Biggest differences, ignoring recipes and most of weapons:

    The tonics don't add much to the value, but them being off by that much raises suspicion. Not to mention the abnormally low candy corn amount, which is the biggest contributor to the box value. The royal coffers, polysats and Touch of Madness could be down to RNG, butttt the difference is suspiciously high. Other high count items not mentioned were within norms though, which is interesting... So even just because of the candy corn I'd suggest anyone who used that data anywhere, especially at places where decisions is based on them, to replace is with more reliable data.     I approached GW2 only recently after a friend of mine suggested me to try it. "It's so different from the others mmo!" he praised. "community is great too!" he added. "come on! You can do everything on your own!" he concluded. That last remark should have rang a bell I guess but never mind.

    So I decided to plunge in, bought the expansion and quested on my own until level 69 doing story mode, random quests and Halloween events. Overall, it was a great experience until I decided to delve deeper into the "mmo" part of the game (you know, playing with other real humans…).

    At first I did not clearly understand what to do, I opened the LFG and advertised my group (me and a friend of mine) for one of the available dungeons.

    Cadecus manor?

    Cadecus it is.

    We join a party of three, I greet everyone and clearly state that I am a new player.

    No response for a while.

    X has voted to kick OP

    "O-ok. Come on. Guys, what the fuck?"

    Y has voted to kick OP

    "Why is that? Hello? Anyone?"

    OP has been removed from party

    …

    Well, I guess it was my fault, I should not have stated I am a new player after all.

    Let's try again.

    LFG is a mess, one playing, no advertising, no groups. After 15 minutes we find a group of three.

    "What's this? Sorrow's Embrace? Let's try it."

    We join another group and, again, no one talks, no one greets, no one says anything.

    After five minutes: "I need to clear path 2, take or leave".

    At this point I do not even know what "explorable" or "path 2" is and I don't really care, I just want to play and see what the PVE of this game has to offer.

    For the entire dungeon no one talks, no one says anything and every time I stop to loot at a cinematic I get constantly and repeatedly harassed. Believe me I do have thick skin when it comes to online gaming but after the third time I was asked to "move" and "stop wasting time" I was starting to get really irritated.

    We then start wiping. Again, no one says anything, no one explains strats, every time we wipe someone leaves (and that means waiting 15+ minutes to find a replace) with stupid and pointless remarks such as "you should have done X!" or "come noob, pull them here!" as if I as if a new player should be aware of the meta/strat of the game.

    This whole circus repeated itself for about 3 hours with different people and in different places (different paths?).

    After 2 hours I just decided to quit and go play something else.

    I mean, questing is fun, classes are fun.

    PvE is objectively unplayable both because no one seems to care about it and also because it is just a rush, the "wow mythic dungeon experience" to the nth degree. No communication, no interaction, just rush.

    Halloween is.. fine ... Whatever. I didn't grow up in a country that celebrates it. I find it odd to gobble up so much candy in one go. Just spread your sugar intake throughout the year to reduce chance of diabetes like rational adults.

    As a player who focuses on LS and sPvP, I'm kind of bored. The Prologue and the previous LS episodes have really been something (sooo not touching the state of sPvP) but festivals aren't that attractive to me. I don't expect a release date or any new hype revelations (elite specs? Yes please), but a little something would be nice.

    I've rerolled 2 characters (1 is 62, the other is at Arah in the story atm) and I want something to bridge the gap while I'm waiting.
