A message of support to ArenaNet Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:12 AM PST It's been a rocky year for ArenaNet and the Guild Wars 2 community. There have been controversial changes and uncertainty about the future of the game. This post isn't to say those issues don't exist, or to downplay changes have happened that weren't good (templates). I've been playing Guild Wars 1 and 2 for the better part of my life, I've been here for the highs and lows like so many of you who might feel unsatisfied with the state of the game right now. It's difficult for me really, to imagine, what is going on in the hearts and minds of the developers at ArenaNet. There have been missteps, mismanagement. But there have been genuinely good things, the game is getting attention, they're actually hiring new positions - this isn't the end. However, 2020 is going to be a deciding year for Guild Wars 2. That's why I'm here to say to our friends at ArenaNet: We're here for you. Many of us might be unsatisfied right now, but those who are CAN be won over. It isn't too late to turn this glorious ship around. Guild Wars 2 is an AMAZING game. It's amazing. Despite the bad PR, the game is still full, people so desperately want to see this game go the distance. So developers, I hope all of you have a great holiday and a Merry Christmas, and I just hope this topic can generate some positivity for you guys to tap into. We can put the past mistakes behind us. We can make 2020 the best year yet for this game. Mike Zadorojny. The future of Guild Wars 2 is now in your hands and the direction you give your team. Please bring the hype back to the game this year and don't be afraid to take risks, don't be afraid to break free from the mould the game has set for itself over the years. Merry Christmas! What was the Purpose of Edge of the Mists? Posted: 19 Dec 2019 05:21 AM PST Hello So a question directed towards our WvW community. So insert title here Daily I play WvW a bit for the dailies and reward track, but recently I stumbled upon the EotM achievement section and thought "why not give it a shot?" I went walking around killing what mobs I could, but the worst thing is: The map is so breathtakingly beautiful, but empty. I went roaming around for almost an hour and haven't encountered any players. As far as I understood, EotM was a LWS 1 release that was like supposed to link PvE and WvW in some way...but failed? What was it's actual purpose? Tho for real, I am still in awe of how cool the map looks.

Anyone else getting insane crashes? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 05:59 PM PST I've been playing for 45 minutes and crashed 3 times. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Dec 2019 10:18 AM PST Normally I'd be bummed that we're not getting something entirely new, but I've found myself unexpectedly excited by this new (old?) model. All the little details around the map are more interesting when we know there's changes coming. Those strange archways scattered around, the new Icebrood banners appearing, that Kodan who we really probably shouldn't have helped. Even the somewhat frustrating RBG Essence system is more interesting knowing that it'll have more use and development in the future. [link] [comments]
Settings to make the game feel heavier? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:48 PM PST I think most people get what I mean that the feel of Guild Wars 2 is lightweight. Everything you do in this game feels like walking on clouds. Any settings that can give some weight to something like combat in the game? Maybe even mods? [link] [comments]
Is the skyscale still time gated by 22 days because of charged quartz crystals? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 11:41 AM PST I have only one charged quartz crystal and it seems like you can't buy them. Is this really gonna take 22+ days to unlock the mount still? Edit: thank you al that gave me the knowledge that I was seeking. To the others I am sorry that you got so triggered by this question. Kind regards. [link] [comments]
