| Which campaign should i start? [Noob questions] Posted: 19 Dec 2021 03:10 AM PST Hey guys, I recently purchased GW1 trilogy. I am not sure where i should start. I've read posts on reddit where people have stated that it's best not to start at prophecy because it can be a huge grind. How true is this? I'm still undecided what type of character i want to build. Any suggestions on good first time characters? Is elementalist a fun first time character? I've watched the wooden potatoes's GW1 story series a LONG time ago and it's one of the reasons why this game intrigued me a lot. It seems to have a more interesting story than GW2. GW2 is story, in my opinion, is lackluster at best. The same ol defeat the big bad dragon, save the world. Moreover, i find GW2 a bit too... feature heavy. It has everything - crafting, dunegons, pvp, world vs world - but i feel it lacks that certain specialness. Also i prefer smaller, more tight-knit communities and i think this game can offer that because it's not popular anymore. Anyways, hoping to meet you guys in-game soon lol :) [link] [comments] |

| In your opinion best starting zone in GW2? Posted: 19 Dec 2021 03:59 AM PST Hey all, I'm not really looking for going the long run and doing something competitive, just to experience this mmo in the best way possible. So far I've started an Asura Elementalist and Metrica Province really kinda doesn't do it for me. It felt mirky, dark, wet, swampy and all that. and i'm kinda asking myself is all of GW2 zones similar to this or is this zone just an exception? I'm not very used to this game's style yet, i'm quite used to different game styles so im pondering if someone would say "dude, asura is like the worst starting zone, try a sylvari for the best new player experience and its really beautiful" Does much of the game look like Metrica Province or is it more different? It's also story-wise. Which starting zone is best aesthetically, and also in terms of story? [link] [comments] |

| tips for potential new player lol Posted: 18 Dec 2021 11:53 AM PST So since i really liked GW2 lore and storytelling i was thinking about trying gw1 because of all the things i heard from WP, Where should i start which one should i buy first or should i buy the complete collection and before i buy it what is a good series on youtube where i would see fairly well how character creation and gamplay works.
