[smol] Asura Slaying Squad | Arkk CM 1:19s | Shattered Observatory Fractal Posted: 03 Mar 2021 02:29 AM PST Hello there! For the precast, Soulbeasts and Dragonhunters did put traps near from the pylons to speed up bloom phases(a trick we already did in the 1:22 kill). A Dragonhunter had to precast with Firebrand, due to having 1 less Feel My Wrath because we only had 2 Dragonhunters. He burnt the first 2 charges of Quickness Mantra, only the last one was necessary. In order to have decent 10% phases (which are usually the bottlenecks of having 2 Soulbeasts due to Sic 'Em being on cooldown), both Soulbeasts had to run Leader of the Pack and share owp in p2, p3, p5, and p6 to speed them up. We also had to stagger Sic 'Em, else gladiator or p5 would have been slow. Dragonhunters were able to have a less cursed rotations by precasting more skills in the void that would only hit the boss when he spawned. We also cursed Ice so he would get the opposite dome in p2, and would make it harder for him to do his bloom at a normal speed ><. Renegade rotation was kind of suboptimal on the actual kill. We figured out that Soulcleave Summit is the main reason why p3 dps check was so tight on the kill(it was late). We also had to blast Might with Soulcleave at the beginning of p4 and 6, which we did with Hypernova Launch on Soulcleave. Posted: 02 Mar 2021 09:00 AM PST TLDR: ArenaNet was almost certainly working on, or at least playing around with some sort of project set in the DUNE universe which was canceled around the time of the layoffs. See Imgur links below. Recently whilst looking into some Guild Wars 2 art I discovered a very strange logo on Luke Nalker's (ex-Arenanet artist) portfolio (nalker.com) under work for ArenaNet. The logo in question: https://i.imgur.com/0zLPe7D.png For those who aren't aware 'Arrakis' is the fictional planet from DUNE, Frank Herbert's novels and the film that was delayed last year. This lines up with the desert imagery in that logo, alongside the four other additional marks on Luke's site: https://i.imgur.com/4nkm9na.png. One which I'm fairly certain is a representation of sand worm. Naturally I was curious, so after an astonishingly quick Google to see if anything came up, I found this on Ronald Kury's (ex Arenanet character artist) portfolio (Works by Ronald) under Arenanet... Project 'Arrakis': https://i.imgur.com/yRzgFbS.png It looks like ArenaNet were 100% working on some sort UE4 project set in the Dune universe. Some high-res images from his portfolio here: Project 'Arrakis': (Canceled) - Imgur I haven't seen this be reported anywhere else as of yet, but If you want even further evidence - the Anet cancellations and layoffs happened in Feb 2019. Just DAYS later, Funcom (another company known for MMORPGs) announces an online Dune survival game is now in development at their studio. https://pr.funcom.com/Funcom-Delves-into-the-DUNE-Universe-with-a-Gaming-Deal-with-Legendary. And who immediately moved over to Funcom after being laid off? Ronald Kury. Purely speculation of course, but what I think might have happened is that NCSOFT canceled this dune project along with others, laying off the people involved, and then potentially the owners of the Dune IP scramble find another company (Funcom) to take it forward? And Ronald Kury moves over with the project from anet to Funcom. Additionally, back on Luke Nalker's portfolio, there are also other logos too. 'Artifact', 'Canoe' and 'Generation'. Could these also be canceled Anet projects? [link] [comments]

Option to turn off Infusions/Backs? Posted: 02 Mar 2021 03:42 PM PST Dear Anet-Team, can we please have an option to turn off these things? I'm playing with standard characters in order to improve my FPS on my toaster, but with all those stacking infusions and gemshop backs that let other players roleplay as human lamps I feel like that setting has been for naught. Anyone else having similar issues? Peace! [link] [comments]

How crafting factors into the economy Posted: 03 Mar 2021 07:29 AM PST So I have returned after a few years and I have been dumping my gold into leveling my tailor crafting. I would like to know if there is a benefit to the investment of leveling these professions? Should I be aiming to get materials from the loot drops or should I be just selling those items on the trading house? Is there a specific item type that is a good investment to make as a tailor? I am pretty poor overall and it seems like I only get about 2 gold a day or so from the equipment drops and such during fractals and dungeons. I just want to know where I should be funneling my gold. Thanks [link] [comments]

Which open NA server has a healthy WvW population? Posted: 02 Mar 2021 03:35 PM PST My current server is currently full and is looking like it won't be opening up any time soon. Now, I got some friends to try out the game and are currently downloading the patch as I type this. I'd love to play with WvW with them in a server that has organised groups/guilds and then roam with them as they gain more experience. My plan is to have them pick the server in question so I can transfer and join them. [link] [comments] |
