| Announcing the Hardstuck Conquest League, debuting in two weeks, March 13th! Posted: 27 Feb 2021 06:53 AM PST Greetings Gamers! I am happy to announce that a new Community Tournament League will be starting up in just a couple of weeks! Run by the Hardstuck Guild, the same team that delivered the MoTA, we aim to hold one tournament every three months, which will then lead up to a larger event once per year (MoTA 2 anyone?). If you just want the relevant information from this post, I'll include a tl;dr at the bottom, but I'm going to take a moment to go a bit more into detail. One of our main goals with this tournament series is to try and get more players involved than just the ones we've seen in past events that we've run. We're aware that breaking into the competitive scene in this game can be challenging, and in fact quite daunting, and so that is why, with this League, we'll be introducing two separate brackets - the Open Bracket and the Invitational. The Open Bracket is available to anyone who hasn't been invited to the second part of the tournament, no barrier to entry involved. But more importantly, this means that while there will certainly be some strong teams in it, you won't have to worry about going up against big names like The French Wurms or Team USA, if that's a concern. We hope that by introducing this Open Bracket, it will encourage people who have wanted to compete, but worried about just getting knocked out by the best teams in the game. There will be gold prizing for most if not all participants in this bracket, and the winners of this bracket will advance on to face the Invitational teams. Now all that might sound good, but we know many people are going to be turning out to cheer on their favorite players and teams, and of course we won't be letting them down. The Invitational Bracket will be where the best of the best face off against each other, and eventually face off across regions as well. In order to make this bracket as rewarding as possible, we will be giving the teams in the Invitational Bracket the chance to win cash on top of gems and gold. Anyone who we invite to this bracket won't be allowed to participate in the Open Bracket, but will have plenty of tough competition when their turn comes. And this leads me to the next important piece of information: Today's Monthly Automated Tournament. We're used to seeing teams compete fiercely for 1st place in the mAT, but today we're going to be watching in order to get a better of idea of just who exactly to place in the Invitational Bracket, as well as their seeding. Both the EU and the NA mAT's will be streamed and shoutcasted live today, I will include links below, so make sure to come and watch, and if you're planning to play in today's mAT, know that we will be watching you! As always, our goal with this tournament series is to provide not only good entertainment for the community, but also to try and keep the competitive spirit of Guild Wars 2, in this case PvP, alive. We look forward to seeing who shows up, and who will be crowned Champions in The Harstuck Conquest League! | Stan LePard (GW2 Composer) Memorial Fund Posted: 26 Feb 2021 03:21 PM PST Hello everyone. As some of you may have seen over the last couple of weeks here and elsewhere on social media, Stan LePard, composer and orchestrator for Guild Wars 2, the Halo series, Destiny, and many other titles from Microsoft, PopCap, and others, passed away unexpectedly. Stan was a good friend as well as a colleague, and he had been working on Guild Wars 2 right up until the present day with the Icebrood Saga. I've set up a fund to help support his family as they recover from this awful situation. If you are able, I'd greatly appreciate a donation of any amount. After GoFundMe takes out their fees, 100% of the money will go to Stan's wife. I know Stan would really appreciate the support the community has shown for him and his music in the last few weeks. For instance, I like to go to the Temple of Kormir in the Crystal Oasis as my Revenant Healer and will even stay after I finish the heart, just because I enjoy applying medical care to the people there. | Twister in a Jar for Uncanny Canner Collection Posted: 27 Feb 2021 03:21 AM PST So all I need to accomplish the "Uncanny Canner" collection and get those sweet sweet AP is to get the Twister in a Jar from bandit chests (Silver Wastes) or burried chests (Dry Top). Yesterday I did a whole 2 hours of RIBA and CF in hopes of getting it and... well nothing? Is the drop rate if this item that bad or am I just unlucky? Am I missing out on anything? And I know these weapons aren't going to be meta, but I was wondering which class is the most fun, in your opinion? Which provides the most CC and can tag the most mobs? Are they easy to get into, is it something worth to do daily similar to Fractals, and can I get a group easily enough in the lfg finder. I will be playing with a group of 4 players, 2 veteran players and 2 new players. | How much gold do you get on average for running tier 4 fractals and recs? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:17 PM PST Please mention if you are have fractal savant or higher and/or doing CM's. How do I count? I check my gold before opening my encryptions and compare it after selling the junk items. I exclude the money I get from selling stuff on the trading post. If I need to buy ascended salvage kits, that will be substracted from my revenue. I get around average 12-13 gold for t4 + recs, I'm wondering if this is good or below average. I just got 6 gold for my tier 4 + recs today and it feels so bad. I only got twice more than 20 gold from it after running it for more than a month. [link] [comments] | ||
