    'Tis the season to log in for Wintersday dailies and hope someone's dropped a nice purple bonfire, and I find myself vexed by the fact that if I already have a buff from a bonfire, I can't get it again. If I have 4 minutes left of a karma boost, and I sit down at a karma fire, I still have 4 minutes left. The "renewal without stacking" mechanic is already there, since we do it with banners all the time, so why shouldn't we be able to do the same with bonfires?

    The party icon ping thing you can do on the map, is it possible to make that last a lot longer? Playing with a friend, we're both fairly newb, and when we try to ping each other to show where we want to go next, it disappears faster than we're able to find where the ping is :(

    Why has my question been downvoted? Is it not allowed to ask newb questions here? I tried searching for an answer, but "ping" just gave a lot of results about network lag and stuff... 😕

    Need a lore recapitulation

    I'm a bit confused regarding GW2 story and lore, i was wandering if you know about any video or wiki page that explains the whole story from the main campain to the end of PoF. I've not been able to find a video like this.

    defeated a legendary bandit executioner for the Stay of Execution achievement, but didn't get it. Did I mess up or is this a bug?

    Someone asked for help to kill a champion bandit. I helped and it just so happened to complete long arm of the light II achievement for me. The bandit executioner spawned and we killed him. But while I was using a finisher on him I went down, not sure how. Someone else then finished the bandit and I did not get the Stay of Execution achievement.

    So, is this a bug? Does it not work when you are in downed state or something?

    Ebon Vanguard Support Marks?

    I have some of these in my bag. They say they can be traded in Eye of the North. But I'm suspicious that since we're not helping the Ebon Vanguard anymore, they are no longer tradeable. The wiki is not useful - it doesn't even say what they USED to be traded for. Anyone have any info on these?

    Hi all !

    Been away for months, i want to come back with a reroll and Holosmith got my attention because it seems to fits my need of a high APM class.

    How does it perform in T4 and dungeons ?

    Also, the rotation seems really difficult with that heat mechanic and all the different kits is that the case ?

    I only saw the sword build for T4's, is the rifle one still viable ?

    Power Elementalist

    I have a Power/Vitality/Toughness Elementalist. I use daggers/staff I seldom die. I am going to start crafting Ascended weapons and armor for him. Should I switch Toughness for Precision. I haven' done fractals or raids yet.

    i am looking for a fun, powerful open world specialization. i'm open to anything. have builds changed a lot in the last few months?

    I am a little bit lost about the questing mechanism

    I started the game a couple of days ago, and I am a little bit lost right now. Besides the personal story quests every 10 levels, where are the other stories? I heard there is a large scale story in the game, but most of the time I am just roaming on the map, finding renown hearts, and finish them. I don't even have to talk to these npcs have renown quests. And it seems these renown quests are not related to any stories. Am I doing it wrong? Where are the stories? There are no side stories in the game?
