    MYSTIC STONKS

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 03:40 AM PST

Has the social aspect of the game gone down as time passes or is this just a personal psychological thing?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 12:59 AM PST

First off, I'll just say straight up, I know this is a weird af post-- just late night thoughts/ ramblings. It may be long and drawn out, so I apologize...

It started off as me wishing PUG raid runs were more popular, but I felt like there's a weird feeling deeper within it-

(at first, I was leading with "Dungeons, strikes and fractals were/ are always popping and I understand they're all different modes with variable rewards (and each can be done much faster than raids) -- I just wish pugging raids were somehow just as popular

There are easy ways to get into them like finding a guild and such, but lately as I've been on/ off over the years, I find it harder and harder these days to actually stay loyal and communicate with guilds I've been/ am part of.")

I love meeting new people and doing things together (in-game) but never been much of a fan of Discord despite having it downloaded. I enjoy the voice chats and banter here & there, but overall I don't really like the idle talk especially when various cliques and groups are already formed, I just end up feeling like an outsider stepping into an established group. (I guess that's just exactly what it is) I just get discouraged by the amount of servers i've joined as countless guild messages and conversations roll over, I find it so overwhelming. I wish there were more interactive guild things to do IN-game. Maybe it's me just not being able to get with the times? I dunno.. I understand the usefulness, I just feel more lonely somehow.

(just the late night sad passing thought I wanted to express-// not even sure if it's a coherent stream of consciousness. curious if anyone can relate or maybe it's just a me thing)

A Guardian guide for solo open world, fractals and dungeons! (Non vocal)

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 07:21 AM PST

    Hello!

    Link to the guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-VYTrW5XvE

After having watched some guides for open world guardian builds, I have found condition firebrand to be criminally underrated, even though it currently is the strongest solo build out there (closely followed by condi renegade and pchrono)! It easily maintains a high uptime on might, quickness, fury and vuln while having an insanely strong burst as well as fantastic utility via the 3 tomes and, especially, Litany of Wrath, which probably is the strongest healing skill in the game. It goes without saying that guardian also has a lot of great situational skills that you can swap in for different encounters, such as Stand your Ground, Wall of Reflection, the condition strip mantra, etc. On top of that, I would also say that the general rotation of the class is fairly easy.

I thought I'd post it here, since I see several threads about good solo open world classes popping up every week on this subreddit, and I think this might be the build these people are looking for.

Hope you like it, have a great day and happy new year!

How to cut the Portmatt's Labor JP

You have the chance to create one item to bring the community of guild wars more together. What would it be and how would it work?

FYI: Drizzlewood Coast, Leadfoot Village, Encrypted Messages event is bugged

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 11:31 PM PST

When doing the "Collect intelligence from Dominion recon specialists" in Leadfoot Village, only the enemies in the Northwest corner of the event area will drop the encrypted messages (1 or 2 enemies that spawn there). None of the other enemies in the area will drop the event item.

I've put it a bug ticket in-game, but thought I'd post here too in case anyone wasn't aware.

This doesn't affect the Vloxen Mine event of the same name/type.

Does Anyone Else Like Doing Regular Events?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 01:38 PM PST

I've been doing a lot of non meta events recently and have been really enjoying them. Just seeing if I'm the only one because I don't see a whole lot of people doing them.

    FPS issues

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 07:27 AM PST

Hey all, I am having some issues with FPS, but it doesn't make sense with my computers specs. I did some research on google but I couldn't really find any good guides or fixes.

    I am running an RTX 3070 8GB, 32 GB ram, and have an i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70Ghz.

Is there anything in the settings that I am missing?

    Priory Historian Elisa bugged?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 02:41 AM PST

So 5 days in a row Elisa only offered me Coats Recipe Books to buy, but nothing else. As far as I'm concerned and looking at the Wiki she should change her Recipe Books everyday after Reset, but for me, she somehow doesn't. Anyone else got this Problem?

    Sunqua Peak air phase bug

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 02:15 PM PST

    Heya,

So I (or rather a group of us) keep encountering a bug in the final boss of Sunqua peak where during air phase (jumping to stop storms) the boss will just keep on going with the attack despite all storms being 'jumped'.

I've been told this happens when someone gg's during the encounter, but none of us ever gg.
Is there something more specific known about the bug or how to bypass it? It's been weeks now where we can't finish this damned fractal because once the bug happens the boss seems to stay bugged and never finishes the storm phase.

I've been told by people to just get better dps and burn past it all, but realistically that's not an option with this group; at least not to the point required. Is there any way to make sure it's possible to complete despite the bug triggering?

We are looking to do the Windswept Heaven Guild hall.

We would also like to know if we fail the first time do we lose the 100g that we payed to start it?

Why m i getting Staff kills?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 04:24 AM PST

i know this sounds weird, but i keep getting staff kills on my slayer achi and i dont get it

i use GS, sword, focus, hammer, trident, scepter

i dont use staff on any of my builds, i might've used staff while leveling for 100-200 kills, but i have 4514 staff kills and i have no idea why

Do every 2h weapons go on staff achivement or something?

Berseker or Dragonhunter: which is more engaging? (Greatsword)

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 06:08 AM PST

    LONG POST AHEAD SORRY

So i had this itch on playing a big armored guy with a greatsword (like Garen from league of legends) so i decided to get another character slot and made a norn with that in mind.

After that however i am kinda stuck in which elite spec to pick. You see, every character i made has an aesthetic and playstyle i planned for them. Its the reason why i have 2 thieves (1 is a gunslinger daredevil who i like to call "mr. Pewpew" and another is my own version of rengar as a deadeye assasin). This time i only have "big guy with a big sword".

This is why i am stuck between berserker or dragonhunter. On one hand, guardian GS has good skills and the DH mechanic/skills is kinda solid. Thing is since when i was starting out i have created/deleted 7 guardians (see reasons above) i am not really feeling like leveling him up due to oversaturation.

The other is berserker. I never had a warrior before and i have no problem being a banner slave or using Axe/Axe in Pve scenario. I also tried the berserk primal skill of greatsword and the berserker utilities are alright. But i dunno tje GS skills feels, iffy? Like GS 2 forced me to be be in one place and the enemy usually just walks away or cc me. GS 3 feels like it hits 2/10 times and the adrenaline skill feels weak (altho i think thats a ME problem cause i just lvled it up to 10). Also i dunno if warrior have any utility CC that can pair with my GS to land the 2nd skill (again might be just me since i havent llayed warrior before).

What do you guys think? Which one is more "engaging"/fun to play with a greatsword? And maybe some other tips would be nice. This is not considering the endgame pve meta build because i have no problems playing as a BS or DPS on either but im not planning on switching elite specs(DH to FB for ex) with this character due to reasons above (i already have a FB for that purpose). Many thanks.
