| [GW2 Raid Academy] [NA] Zero to Hero Community Raid Event (Part 5) Posted: 19 Jan 2021 06:45 PM PST Hello all, After a long hiatus, GW2 Raid Academy is pleased to share that we will be hosting another three day long Zero to Hero community event for anyone interested in learning to raid on the North American data center. It will take place this upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (January 22nd - 24th). If you're curious about our past events, you can see some of our previous posts from our 2019 events. (Sadly we did not host any events in 2020 due to everything going on.) Everything will be organized through our Discord, so be sure to join and consider checking out the server prior to the event starting. Please note that we play on NA servers with players from around the world. Everyone is encouraged to join - no prior experience or a particular build is required for this event, although if you'd like you can do some preparation in advance. As we have in the past, we will be focusing on both mentoring and training each day. We will not be hosting HP trains, so plan to have the elite spec(s) you are interested in unlocked prior to this weekend. Training and Mentoring WeekendOur raid trainers and mentors will be on hand to go over profession specializations. We would be happy to help you get started with any build - this includes class fundamentals, how to begin gearing, and anything else you may have a question about. Raid trainings will also be happening throughout the weekend so be sure to hop into groups as they become available. Expect to see trainings and mentoring sessions starting by ~1pm EST each day, if not earlier. (We have some trainers based outside of NA time zones, so they may start things at different times) If you're interested in helping with this event, whether its leading runs, mentoring, or just hanging out to answer questions you can let us know with this form. | Why are we getting "Item Based Currency" Again.... Posted: 20 Jan 2021 07:25 AM PST Both DRMs got the horn and the stick.... I got no idea why this is being made like this, you added a currency that uses wallet, but hey let's add more currency that doesn't need wallet which you can also use to convert to get the wallet version. Its the same sht with bags again.... Lets put a bag inside a bag inside a bag, back in (Hot) DS peak meta, insane bags inside a bag inside a bag. Now we're getting this currency bombardment, i'm not a new player but holy fck if you are a new player and seeing the insane numbers of sht on wallet currency and now this double dipping currency for DRM. @TL-DR: let's not double dip on currency.... Wallet version and then a non wallet version which you convert into a wallet version. Don't tell me on another DRM we get a new currency again. Just freaking look at how good Fractals is, it literally uses the same currency needed even on the new sunqua peak items. Posted: 20 Jan 2021 04:30 AM PST Hey, I've been grinding a lot of DRMs the yesterday and today to get all achievements. However stuff like "Killer waves", "No more sacrifices" and "Shooting stars" seems to be bugged. We just completed the doric lake DRM and successfully CC'd him everytime so that no one gets sacrificed but for some reason only one person (the one who opened the instance) in the whole team got the achievement. Tried the next run by opening the instance myself, didn't get the achievement again but 2 of our group did. Same applies for the others. Even if you get hit by meteors or shockwaves, you'll somehow get it unlocked. Very strange. | Posted: 20 Jan 2021 08:49 AM PST After completing the "Lost Lore of Desert Highlands" achievement and listenning to the Book of Vlast, one of it's parts caught my attention: "It was then that we, the Forgotten\, developed a ritual to free a creature from the Elder Dragon's control. We performed it on Glint with great success. Her mind cleared, and Glint's will was her own**." So I thought: perhaps Ryland may still be saved from Jormag's grasp, by forcing him to undergo said ritual? Or maybe even use it as way to weaken Jormag, leaving the dragon without a champion? What are your thoughts?
