    Bot mesmer wins December 2020 mAT, again

    The guild Heimreise Statt Einreise [FU:)] won the December 2020 mAT by using a bot mesmer, with a bar of 7 interrupts. They paid over 300€+ to get it work again.

    These are the same players that cheated last year, since May 2019 to November 2019.

    ​

    And no, please, before anyone make these kind of comments: "PvP is full of bots", "GvG died a long time ago", "Guilds just sync gold trims", this is completely false. While yes, you got bots farming HA, GvG was bot-free since December 2019, until now.

    Since April 2020 (https://memorial.redeemer.biz/memorial/2020/) you had over 250 players attending to the mAT's, it was during August, where the numbers dropped a bit, in this period of time, until now, you have an average of 150 players, might be an small amount but still quite a few, considering how old the game is.

    I know for some of you GvG might not be competitive anymore, yet you still have an active playerbase in this format, titles are meaningless though, this doesn't change the fact that you have people trying to enjoy the game, and not because of a worthless goldtrim.

    To those who forgot about or simply don't know about the series of events from last year:

    It took Anet more than 2 months to fix this in 2019, they made no statements whatsoever, people kept sending support tickets, posting here on reddit, yet no official announcement was made about this issue.

    With this being said, I think everyone is aware of the current bot situation (this includes the HA farming bots and PvE bots) being out of control, you have people running more than 100+ accounts, yes, more than 100 accounts, botting, just to make some profit:

    Have the servers been lagging for the last 3 days for anyone else?

    Ping sticks around 40ms as usual, then will jump up to 600ms+ regularly. Sometimes a clean disconnect. Never happened before. Only happening in Guild Wars. Checking the connection on other stuff running concurrently, there are no issues other than Guild Wars. US Servers btw. Just seeing if I'm alone. Thanks.

    Is the Santa Guy still running drop parties this year?

    A few years ago there was a Santa guy in ToA doing drop parties with fat loot like stacks of ecro and arm braces. You had to chase him through one of the wintersday missions in ToA. Is this an annual thing or is he gone?
