    I recently started to explore Central Tyria with my Revenant. At one point I saw a bunch of players, leveling, doing the local event, they were like ten or more. I was like "these must be bots, there is no way that many people in this particular zone, all in low level equipment doing the events purposefully". That is just a so bot thing to do, if you know what I mean. So I figured I would do a test, so I asked in /say chat who wants a free gold, and almost all of them gathered around. I told them I just tested them if they are bots and also sent them the golds. Now, I see these leveling players all the time while I'm in Central Tyria and honestly, its so good to see that an almost 9 years old MMORPG is doing this well regarding new player influx. Just wanted to share.

    How come "blocking" in game doesn't totally block someone?

    Ever since I started the game, blocking people has been a joke. You block someone and they still can abuse the ability to track you down and interact with you, albeit no messages can get across. It's really stressful having to deal with someone who will do what they can to bother you when all you want to do is be left alone.

    [NA] HoT Monthly Map Completion Train

    Hello again /r/guildwars2!

    I got the time zone right this time, don't worry! On Saturday, November 7 at 12:00 PM CST (UTC-6), I will be leading a map completion train through all of Heart of Thorns on the NA megaserver. No waypoints, mounts, or masteries needed aside from the ones listed below. We will be covering the ENTIRETY of base Heart of Thorns, including hero points, mastery points, strongboxes, waypoints, points of interest, vistas, jumping puzzles, meta events, and hidden achievements. Yes, you read that right. EVERYTHING >:D

    For the train, please make sure you have:

    • Shipwreck Peak Waypoint, [&BN4HAAA=]

    • Basic gliding (will get you 95% of map completion)

    • The ability to read

    • A pleasant attitude! <3

    Tentative Itinerary for the Day (in CDT time)

    • 12:00 - 12:30 PM . Preparation and introduction to the train [Giveaway]

    • 12:30 - 2:30 PM . Verdant Brink map completion + night bosses.

    • 2:30 - 3:00 PM . Break time, preparation for Auric Basin [Giveaway]

    • 3:00 - 5:00 PM . Auric Basin map completion.

    • 5:00 - 5:30 PM . Break time, preparation for Tangled Depths. [Giveaway]

    • 5:30 - 7:30 PM . Tangled Depths map completion.

    • 7:30 - 8:00 PM . Break time, preparation for Dragon's Stand. [Giveaway]

    • 8:00 - 8:30 PM . Dragon's Stand map completion (unlocked portion of the map).

    • 8:30 - 9:00 PM . Event wrap-up and final giveaways. [Giveaway]

    This will be a full day event, so you are welcome to hop in and out. I will be trying to keep the map as full as possible with overflow squads, but I can't guarantee you a spot in the case everything fills. This event will also be live-streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/eminyaa. Swing by, say hi even if you're not on the train! I'll be answering most questions there; plus, it might be helpful to have it on in the background since I tend to give warnings/information during the train itself.

    I will be playing on my Chrono 'Emi Nyaa'. Squad will be up at 11 CST exact. The first 10 minutes will be reserved for whisper invites only. Once it hits XX:10, the squad will be up in LFG → Heart of Thorns → Verdant Brink. This is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please don't spam my chat if the squads are full!

    [Giveaway Information]

    Courtesy of my partnership with ArenaNet and the Overflow Trading Company [TP], I have lots of things that will be given away over the course of the event.

    • 2000 gems to giveaway, in increments of 400 gems
    • hundreds of liquid gold
    • dyes, minis, and other goodies

    Everything will be done using a giveaway extension on my stream. This means that you do not have to be in the physical train in order to be eligible! Anyone on any server from anywhere in the world can participate, so long as they're present at the time of the drawing and are able to type in chat. Note: You cannot win more than one code.

    Why do I have to order a single stack of materials twenty times in a row instead of ordering all twenty stacks of materials at once?

    The TP is a shitshow and everything takes forever because as soon as you deal in larger volumes than one stack of 250 items, you have lags between orders ranging from three seconds to ten or even fifteen, having you spend more time on waiting than on actual ordering. Not to mention that you hammer the server with 20 orders instead of 1.

    It's 2020, people don't sell three globs of glooby gloob for five copper anymore, can we adjust the options accordingly?

    Deposit Banners to guild?

    Does anyone else wish we could have the limit of 25 banners per type removed and then talk to the guy in the bar to deposit all of these banners we've gotten from events? We can deposit ascended food now, it would be a wonderful quality of life if we could deposit the banners we have in our inventory, including spirit banners. It would also allow scribes to use those banners to craft hero banners from the various other banners.

    Why isn't this a thing?

    The daily for Arah

    We formed a pug to make the daily for arah and we were dungeon noobs so lupi trashed us for a while until the reset hit and we missed the daily for arah and now I'm an alcoholic.

    Even with all that, it was the best fun I ever had in guild wars 2. Thank you.

    Today, I spent 240 PvP potions on the reward tracks of Jahai, Thunderhead Peak and Dragonfall. I did so because I didn't want to grind the meta-achievement for the final item (as was the case in the previous 3, Istan, Windswept Isles and Kourna), in order to get the legendary trinket Vision.

    After opening the chests, I noticed I didn't get the achievement "ping" when selecting for the skins. Even better, I found out I still have to do all those meta-achievements because the Vision meta-achievement of those maps have a different criterium for completion. So I wasted an entire stack of PvP potions because I thought Arenanet would be consistent in how the Visions achievement would progress.

    Tl;dr: I'm an idiot and wasted a stack of PvP potions.

    Anyone wants to share their "oopsy" moment, to make me feel a bit better? :'(

    Hey, remember vanilla dungeons? Remember when it was mostly CoF1and3, AC1and3 (maybe 2), SE1and3, TA1and3, and paying people to finish Arah? Remember when Arah Story was a requirement? Also I forgot if you need to do Story first to unlock Explorable.

    Question about Renegade for T4 fractals

    So I bought the expanions a few months ago and grinded my way through T1-T3 fractals as a power renegade. I just finished crafting my first ever full ascended armor set, with berserker stats and I'm almost ready to start T4. So far I had no major issues with T3 fractals. Now I hear people left and right saying alacrity ren is meta in T4. And that I shouldn't play as power ren. I'm fine with switching to alacrity build... But that would mean crafting an entire new ascended armor set with diviner stats... Just as I've finished crafting the berserker one... I don't feel like spending that much gold for mats and the stupid timegated stuff again!

    So what are your opinions on this? Is power ren really that bad in T4 fractals? Also I have no interest in raiding, not in the near future anyway.

    Jw cuz i've never played GW2 but the reason I quit playing ESO is because I got tired of doing the same dungeons over and over and i'm willing to give GW2 a try but not if it's like WoW & ESO in the sense that all you end up doing is the same dungeons over and over.
