    I'm a guardian looking to make the change from DH to HFB, mainly aiming for T4 fracs/raids and WvW.

    Now for raids the harrier armor is the best since it offers power, in wvw this is recommended as well allthough there's the option to run maklain, which swaps power for toughness and vitality.

    I have very little raid experience and kinda new-ish to wvw as well so personally I'd like to run Maklain's over Harrier's to increase my chances of survival.

    My question is, does this matter? Is the DPS loss that signifcant (I know it's a lot) that it's not acceptable to run this in raids?

    Lagging while playing in NA from SEA.

    So i've been lagging for a week now while playing from SEA in NA server, is there a problem with Anet's server or is it my isp. my other games seems to fine has normal ping and my download speed also has no issues. will changing server fix this? been thinking about transfering to EU server.

    I have a friend starting a podcast and he soon will have on the Voice of Aurene (and will drop in a week or two), Nikka Futterman. he is focusing on voices of animated shows we all grew up on and the with names so far such as;

    Billy West, David Feiss, Kevin B. Eastman, Bobby Curnow, Francois Chau, Connie Shulman, Tomas Guiry, Robert Ri'chard, and Robert Paulsen.

    With Voice acting Returning to GW2.

    I thought this was the perfect outlet to remember why they matter so much from the past and introduce this Navy Veteran's Podcast from myself, a Marine Veteran as we Remember our Veterans Voices in and out of the Guild wars 2.

    [Possible Spoiler For End of Dragons] The meaning for Life, the Alchemy, and Everything.

    Jormag want's to "preserve" tyria by corrupting/freezing everything for eternity. That will bring an "end" to the cycle because it won't cycle anymore.

    Bubbles is still the "big bad" for the expansion, Primordius is only awake because Jormag is awake. Jormag was never talking about Primordious, Jormag is afraid of the End of the Cycle. Not the end of the Cycle that we know, where they destroy everything and go back to sleep and repeat for an eternity, but they Cycle that THEY know, where the Elder Dragons are replaced.

    With both Primordius and Jormag awake and active, so is Bubbles. After getting Primordius to agree to a Truce, we'll be going to cantha to try and convince Bubbles to join, all to help prevent the End of Dragons which also threatens to destroy Tyria (again). Because:

    Aurene is actually part of the Cycle. The Elder Dragons came from a progenitor they call Mother, Aurene is the next "Mother." She has to sacrifice herself to create new Elder Dragons. She already knows this, but doesn't want the destruction that comes with it. That's why she is 'staying out of it.' She could have stopped Jormag and Primordius by fulfilling her purpose, but it would destroy all life on Tyria.

    Aurene's purpose is to absorb ALL the Dragon magic, but doing so will cause an explosion of energy that then creates new Elder Dragons and a new Tyria. This is the Eternal Alchemy.

    She want's a way out of it, but there is "only one way" and it's "impossible."

    Taimi will figure out the solution, we'll find the MacGuffin, the Dragons will unite together and sing kumbaya, and the power of friendship will save Tyria. MC will say sad goodbye to Aurene, and the new Dragons will be born in their hibernation state, leaving Tyria safe for a millennium.

    Roll credits.

    Easiest 700 gems I ever spent.

    Edit: Armistice Bastion Pass is also 700 gems.

    Edit2: Main advantage of these passes is that you can use them to return to your original location. They also have perks related to the game mode (Fractals access and vendors for Mistlock, WvW arena and vendors for Armistice)

    For those eyeing the RTX 3000 series...

    You will almost certainly need to leverage the d912pxy mod, because otherwise you will experience a lot of instability. With my 3070, I was getting around 60-80FPS (1440p) with extreme dips; it was impossible to get a smooth framerate. With the mod installed, and some factors like shadows and reflections decreased, I get a stable 130-150FPS. I have not tested it thoroughly in large-scale areas, but the difference is night and day.

    Hopefully the eventual accessibility of the next-gen cards will spur ArenaNet to consider investing in their game engine, because if it wasn't for community support I don't know if I would be playing.

    Even if you don't like tattoos, but say you had to get one. I would like something that would look cool to people who have never heard of Guild Wars and something that isn't really obviously from a video game. At first I was thinking a cool looking icon, I've seen the thief icon as a tattoo and it looks really good. Though I'd say icons are more obviously video game these days. Definitely wouldn't be getting a characters face or anything like that.

Thats why id like to ask you to post pictures of your heavy armored classes to catch some inspiration. Ill prob go with human, but im not sure about that yet, so all races are welcome(as allways).

    If End of Dragons added a new item slot, what item slot would you like to see?

    I think we all agree that expansions should have expansion-worthy features. Something splashy, simple for beginners but deep for theorycrafters, fun, and fits the story. What if End of Dragons introduced a new item slot to accomplish this? Here's my idea:

    Draconic Crystals

    This new item slot would be tied to the mastery system and the story of the expansion. As you unlock more crystals by completing story chapters and growing your mastery, you acquire more Draconic Crystals--each capturing the power of an Elder Dragon. These crystals fit the new item slot and could be swapped between like other gear. Stats and functionality of these items would grow over the storyline as you unlock new abilities from familiar Dragons.

    Examples:

    Primodus' Draconic Crystal—Occasionally, Promordus' Draconic Crystal shoots a spout of flame at your enemies, dealing X damage to a nearby enemy.

    Zhaitan's Draconic Crystal— Occasionally, Zhaitan's Draconic Crystal brings a fallen enemy back to life, allowing them to fight alongside you for X seconds.

    Jormag's Draconic Crystal — Jormag's Draconic Crystal calls to your enemies, occasionally controlling the mind of a nearby non-elite enemy to fight for you for X seconds.

    This system could grow throughout the expansion and following saga as the story progresses. Since the effects and stats are tied to a mastery they won't effect WvW or PvP. What do you guys think? Would a new item slot be something expansion-worthy as a feature?
