    This has been happening for like the last month or so, and it happens during certain times, that are not always specific it's not my internet, that i'm sure, is this just a regular thing happenind with the servers? is ANet HQ on fire or something? or is it a client problem i should look into?

    Dungeoneering Friends!

    I'm really interested in doing a full-bore run through of every dungeon, start to finish, SM and EM. I've already done a few, and the population for it is hella lean.

    If anyone is interested, feel free to message me in-game. I don't have much free time to play, but I'd be looking to do one dungeon a week, if possible. Probably Thursdays or Fridays.

    What would "New WvW Content " that the WvW Community "approves of" look like?

    I ask this because, during my time both here and on the main forum, whrn it comes to new ideas for future WvW Content,
    generally speaking the only thing I ever really see the WvW community agree on fall into one of two categories:

    *No downed state /no mount events.
    And/or.
    *New methods of Population control/New Faction structure (aka Alliances)

    I mean thats really all it seems when it comes to the subject of New ideas for WvW Content that is socially accepted and commonly agreed on in yhe WvW community.

    To dive deep into this, a better question is
    "Why" is that?

    GW2 Best Server To Swap To For WvW

    I'm looking for a server to swap to for better WvW. I'm currently on Ehmry Bay and am a little tired of logging in and having to get acquainted with a whole new server all the time (always changing what server we're paired with). What are the current best servers for WvW that I can actually swap to? Looking for consistent tags day and night in ebg, and a decent roaming community (aren't we all...) Any suggestions? Preferably a server that isn't full, please.

    Have you ever looked at Gift of Battle and Gift of Craftsmanship and wondered why they have exactly the same image icon as if they are twin siblings? Have you ever considered that one day you might mistake one of them to other, and end up wasting up your precious costly materials?

    Well, I did not.

    But when I did notice this, it was already too late. And my hard earned Mystic Covers, Gift of battle, and complete stacks of t6 materials were flushed in vain. You see, the Gift of Prosperity(used in making legendary raid armour) and Gift of War prosperity( used in making legendary wvw armour) have the exact same recipes to craft Gift of Prosperity: 1 Gift of Craftsmanship 15  Mystic Clover 1  Gift of Condensed Magic 1  Gift of Condensed Might

    Gift of War Prosperity: 1  Gift of Battle 15  Mystic Clover 1  Gift of Condensed Might 1  Gift of Condensed Magic

    You see the difference is only one ingredient, and these ingredients are exactly the same in look.

    Now imagine a new player, going to mystic forge, exited to be crafting their first ever hard earned legendary raid armour. Clicking of familiar items and crafting the gifts, just to notice the Gift of Craftsmanship that they clicked is actually gift of battle that they got sometine while playing wvw.

    Now, they cannot be helped by anet support, and they are stuck with worthless item which they are now never going to use, and a big moment turned into sadness and despair.

    Now something interesting to note is that even gw2 wiki uses same image to define these two items. Just click on the image icons and see for yourself.

    New players and Steam release

    So, with the Steam release soon upon us I created a new character to play the game and, being affected by WP recent videos, I decided not to use any mounts or even glider. Just raw GW2 vanilla experience. I can say for sure that the pace was actually ok for an 8 year old content! It was fun doing hearts, exploring the world, buying stuff from heart merchants etc. Where my experience was completely ruined was when I came upon my first event! I was running towards the event with my mighty mace when I saw a bunch of raptor riders killing EVERYTHING with just the Raptor skill. Boy oh boy, I was astounded when I realized how BAD it is. I have done it, I am not going to lie, but now that I have seen it from a "newbie" perspective I will certainly refrain from doing it anymore. The first week of the Steam release is going to be very very important for the game, so I can only suggest to veteran players refraining from one-shooting low level mobs and actually to give time for new players to experience and enjoy the game.

    Also if any Anet dev see this post, I also suggest to remove completely (or insanely reduce) the damage from mount skills in starter maps.

    Mad King Labyrinth XP Farm?

    Hey guys, I'm looking to level up a necromancer, and was wondering if grinding mobs with xp boosts and buffs in the labyrinth on Halloween is a good way to do it?

    I'll be looking to grind anyway for the bags, so wanted to know if i could kill two birds with 1 stone, or if it just isn't worth it.

    New-ish player, new to 80, a bit confused about gear and guides

    Hi! So I played when the game first launched, but just came back, and have just got a mesmer to 80. Been working on path of fire (for the mounts). I'm a bit confused about which guides are up to date, and which gear is best.

    I currently have a set of rampagers gear (from tailoring). My amulet, rings etc. are a bit basic though. I'm enjoying playing greatsword but finding a bit low damage - not sure if this is lack of gear, or something wrong with the build, or if I just need to learn to play.

    I'm currently using this build: http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Mirage_-_Greatsword_Farmer I've read mixed opinions of greatsword, but I'm mostly doing personal story, world events, and working my way through zones. So I think it's ok?

    But is that site good for up to date info? For instance, the amulet it recommends is Marauders Sparking Petrified wood, but browsing the laurel vendor, it looks like Bud of the Pale Tree looks way better (a lot more power, precision and ferocity, at the loss of some vitality) And that assumes those are even the stats I want?

    I'm also trying to work out best gear in general - am I right in thinking that the ascended tailoring recipes are best/near to best?

    So yeah, confused. Any advice gratefully received!
