    Hello Reddit!

    [CnD] recently posted a 0:59 Cairn kill with condi soulbeasts and a new no-agony strat, beating our previous 1:02 kill with mirages. Due to the recent power chrono buffs, we realized that it was now the best dps class to stack as it eliminates the need for a boon chrono. We were eager to take back the record, and having just finished a power chrono Dhuum kill, we decided to strike while the iron was hot.

    Strategy/Composition

    [Cnd] discovered that you can completely avoid the agony mechanic by staying within 180 range of the center of the boss. This removes the need for a dedicated healer simply through positioning.

    We used this strat for the second agony, but had the alacrity renegade bait the first agony. This is to guarantee that he can max melee the boss from the opposite side and prevent the boss auto attacks from hitting the rest of the squad. Thanks to the Dance of Death trait, renegade has very high self healing and can tank the boss auto attacks without any issue. The renegade also had Dwarf Stance so that he could provide 10-man stability for the green mechanic with Inspiring Reinforcement.

    The power herald provides regen, might, swiftness, fury, and prot. Like the renegade, he ran Battle Scars over Swift Termination. Even though Swift Termination has higher theoretical dps, Battle Scars provides permanent scholar and writ uptime and gets a boost from the precasted Icerazor, making it superior in the actual fight. Both the renegade and herald also ran Incensed Response for self might.

    In this comp, quickness is provided by the power chronos using Time Warp - two precasted and one more every 10 seconds. Since the boon rip at the start of combat happens in between Time Warp ticks, we precasted two staggered Time Warps to guarantee good quickness uptime in the opener. One chrono ran Phantasmal Defender to buff every chrono's opening by 10% from Superiority Complex. The power chronos all ran Superior Rune of the Eagle to cap crit chance.

    One of the challenges with this composition is might. Power chrono has significant self might generation, but it does need a lot of help. We already talked about the herald, but we also had a power warrior with Phalanx Strength to fill in the rest of the might. The warrior also used battle standard to provide fury during the opener and a bit of extra might.

    Finally, the soulbeast buffs the entire squad with Frost Spirit and One Wolf Pack. Despite having low might due to lack of self might generation, and not having 100% uptime on Frost spirit, it is still worth it to bring because it buffs every other person in the squad by over 1k dps each on average. This is the only condi class in the entire squad. He could not go power because scholar uptime was too low.

    Hey guys,

    I have been an almost exclusively WvW player for the entire duration of the game's lifespan and have ventured outside of the mists very little.

    Recently I decided I wanted to unlock the Roller Beetle and Skyscale, so I did the PoF Season 4 Living World content.

    I'm not sure if this is the experience all around or just me, but I found myself so much more engaged in this storyline and much more attached to the characters than in the base game and in HoT. I actually shed a tear when Blish died and I got very emotional when Aurene became a true Elder Dragon. I even found myself doing the optional dialogs when previously I would have skipped them.

    All the occasions where kralkatorik showed up were incredible and I really enjoyed the fights and how awesome he looked.

    Has this been anyone else's experience?

    I'm looking forward to doing the new Icebrood Saga stuff. Hopefully it ramps up to being nearly as exciting. :)
