Dreamthistle underwater weapon skins missing from Black Lion Chest loot table. Posted: 02 Mar 2020 07:57 PM PST I realize this may seem like market manipulation, but I'm merely a collector trying to unlock skins to improve my Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlocks. My buy orders weren't filling, and the prices for the underwater skins kept going up, so I took a look at the BLC loot table again. 16 of the 19 Dreamthistle Weapon Skins are in the Black Lion Chest loot table, as you can see in this image. The missing 3 skins are the underwater skins: Harpoon Gun, Spear, and Trident. Predictably, the prices for these skins have gotten a bit out of hand. ArenaNet, please include these missing skins in the Black Lion Chest, or make them purchasable with Ticket Scraps. [link] [comments]
[PvP/Unpopular opinion] If you want to win, bring a partner. Posted: 02 Mar 2020 02:23 PM PST Spent the day getting berated for being garbage while doing 2 v 2's. It's not so much about being called bad that I care about, because I knew this long before today, it's that people would rather rage at their teammates and say things like "you may as well not be here" or "why do you even play" instead of giving advice, being supportive or just not saying anything at all if they're going to be rude. This isn't about "thick skin" or getting better. I try my hardest and I'm willing to learn if people have tips, I cooperate if my teammate(s) have a plan and I don't rage at people. I don't care if I win or lose but I try my hardest because the goal is to win but I want to enjoy myself in the process. People making me feel like shit for their mistake of not bringing a partner gives me as much right to be pissed off and uncooperative as them. I don't mind if someone is frustrated and has nothing good to say, it's not going to make me cry and ask people to stop invading my safe space. It's the internet so I expect to find those people but when it's every losing/lost match? Maybe people should try something other than putting their teammates down? I was reported for being "bad." The irony in that is if I actually got banned for it how does it help me to get better if I can't play at all? /rant [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Mar 2020 07:37 PM PST Like many players, the recent balance patch and added incentives given to both structured (ranked and unranked) PVP, as well as WvW, have reinvigorated a long lost love I've had for those gamemodes. I long for the days of pre-HoT, though I know things will never return exactly to how they were in that long lost era of Guild Wars 2's life. The rise of burst power builds just wasn't for me, though I recognize they had their place and I respect those that enjoy that style of gameplay. Farming the warlord boxes in ranked has been a tumultuous journey of heartbreak, frustration and something I sadly have never felt before: an extreme hatred for where the game has gone over the years. I'm not referring to the bunker necro builds currently running rampant, boon-spam firebrands or insane condition damage heralds. They all have their place and counters that any competent players should be able to exploit, but rather the gargantuan amount of crowd control now available to most classes. There's nothing more aggravating than not being able to control my character for over ten seconds because of the sheer amount of stackable CC. The current meta now revolves around which team has more crowd control capabilities. As it stands, CC abilities are fire-and-forget, often having far shorter cool downs than stun break utility skills with just not enough sources of stability for most classes to effectively counter them, and with the CC stacking that is occurring currently, all it takes is one misstep before you're chained into one CC after the other. I honestly wish that A-net would rework the entire CC/Stability/Stun Break system to be more in-line with other popular MMOs; reduce the amount of stability and stun break sources while simultaneously providing a diminishing return's-like mechanic to the game so that each subsequent CC applied to you has a reduced duration, up-to, but not including, a brief immunity window that acts as an irremovable stability. Why do I think this? Quite simply, players should have to choose when they CC someone. Do I want to CC now to pressure the enemy, or do I want to save it to interrupt an ability? Do I want to use my CC with my burst, or should I use it defensively? Other games do this and do it well. Once upon a time, even GW2 was like this, believe it or not, but with time comes more abilities and specializations, and with those specializations came even more crowd control without much in the way to balance things out. I feel as if getting CC off -should- be rewarding for the player, where getting one good dodge off, interrupting a heal or getting the perfect stun could really tip the balance of a fight. Something less mindless than what we effectively have now. Am I crazy for thinking this? Should I just give in to the madness? I'm open to suggestion, but it's a sad day when going into a match feels far more like a dreadful chore than anything fun and engaging. Perhaps others feel differently about the way things have gone, but for me, I truly wish more was done. [link] [comments]

Some questions regarding elementalist Posted: 02 Mar 2020 10:46 PM PST I have been playing elementalist for awhile now and am about to reach 80 soon. From the start, I have been using the staff and quite liked it but after reading through multiple posts from different sources (reddit, gw2 forum etc.), I realised that the staff is not really a viable choice anymore. Furthermore, I am not really in favour of melee weapons, mainly because I prefer ranged weapons. Which leads me to my question: Should I try to follow meta builds that has been established or go with what I truly had fun with (staff etc.)? Edit: Thanks guys for your responses! Tbh, I was quite lost about what to go with. But for now, I will go with what I like, and perhaps I will try to give a go with some of the meta builds once I feel that I am ready for the end game/high level content. Thanks all once again, all of ur comments really helped cleared my doubts/hesitations. I am still an amateur in gw2, so I am really thankful for all of ur comments 😀😀 [link] [comments]

Thoughts on the new downed/defeated icons for resurrection? Posted: 02 Mar 2020 03:55 PM PST What do you think of the new art for downed/defeated icons that appear above players and on the map/compass as well as the UI for the resurrect action? Do you like them or the old art more? None, some, or all of the icons? Should the change be kept or reverted? Could the art be improved? Other feedback? [link] [comments]

Mesmer/Necro/Guardian for endgame like raiding Posted: 02 Mar 2020 06:22 PM PST Can anyone advice me which class is easier/needed for raiding or endgame contents. Any build recommendation? I have been playing Mesmer for awhile now but apart from being a portal slut, I felt that Mesmer(mirage) damage are so underwhelming or maybe I am building it wrongly. [link] [comments]
