I propose gates to become a playable race Posted: 25 Dec 2019 01:20 PM PST I am gonna be honest: sounds obsurd but hear me out. Gates are living beings in guild wars 2 and they possess the potential to be a playable race. To kick things off imma explain how they are living beings. So I used to play a lot of necromancer and one thing I found odd in WvW is how I was able to collect lifeforce from these gates. I investigated further into this and found when attacking othet structure things (like walls) i gained no lifeforce. Anet thought this would slip by us. Furthermore, we all know all living creatures in tyria releases lifeforce either upon death or via specific necro abilities, which means that gates are on a similar playing field. Now onto conditions. Gates are also affected by the same conditions as the living races in tyria. Gates can experience chill (which means they must give off some sort of regulated body temp), cripple (means they got them bones), poison (means there something organic being corroded), confusion (meand they got a brain to confuse) and the biggest red flag of all: bleeding. Bleeding suggests that the gates have blood to lose which is a trait that only living beings can have. Moreover, magical beings that experience the bleeding conditiom are obviously bleeding the magic that keeps them living (duh). To wrap up this conspiracy/proposal imma talk about their lore. Gates have been apart of Guild Wars lore as far back as the charr raiding Ascalon (dont believe me? Play the fractal). Their kind has been willing to defend alongside the races of tyria since the beginning and willing to the that wall keeping the evil dragon minions a away from those they care about. Overall theres no reason why gates shouldnt become a playable race because they are living and been apart of the game lore since forever. You cant hide your secrets anymore Anet. Peace. arcDPS build templates question Posted: 26 Dec 2019 02:12 AM PST Havent played in months, i KNOW buildtemplates was taken out and no longer allowed, so i removed the dll file but saved it on my desktop for later for whatever reason. I wanted to know what trait setup i used to have with arcdps templates so i moved the dll back and this is what i get: https://i.imgur.com/dDkpIL6.png Is there any way to know which traits i used to use? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 02:00 AM PST If your keybinds are odd like mine, whenever you play the choir bell minigame change your 1 to 4 weapon skill keybinds to 1234 and your healing + utility skills to 90-=. That way you can use your left hand to play the left side of the notes and your right hand to play the right side of the notes. Also as an added tip, as soon as the note fully passes the outer edge of the white line, that's when you have to press your button. However it's a serious hassle having to change your keybinds every time you want to play the minigame, or any other instrument, so I wanted to share this AHK script I found that toggles your weapon set and healing + utility keybinds to above mentioned (1234 + 90=-) when you press Page Down (can be changed) and changes them back to your standard keybinds when you press it again: Change the "X" after every "Send" to the key you want the number before it to send. For example: Now when you press 1, Q will appear on your screen instead. So when you look at your first four weapon skills and from left to right their keybinds are QERF then you want the first four lines of the script to look like this: If you don't have AutoHotKey, install it from here: https://www.autohotkey.com/. Once installed, open a new AutoHotkey script by right clicking the desktop > New > AutoHotkey script, copy and paste the first script, and then alter the X's of the first four lines to your first four weapon skill keybinds and the last four lines to your healing and utility skill keybinds. Also if your weapon skills are already bound to 1 2 3 or 4 then you can just delete any lines related to those numbers or keys and keep the ones that are different than your keyinds. If you don't like placing your fingers on 1234 and 90-= you can change all of those numbers in the script to any other keys that makes more sense for your fingers. Additionally you can also change the toggle button for the script from Page Down to any other key by changing "PgDn" in the script to any other key. This link tells you what to change "PgDn" to for your preferred key: https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm Its possible that if you're simply changing the position of two buttons you might get an error that mentions the script is sending too many keypresses. If that happens, try finding the lines that cause it and put a "$" symbol before them or post your altered script below so I can help out. If anyone needs some more help with this feel free to post in the comments and I'll be glad to explain some things some more because I'm really glad I found this script and would like others who have the same problem with playing instruments as me with their current keybinds to find it as useful as I do!
