    Looking For Minimalus UI

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:55 PM PST

    Hi,

I've been trying to get into Guild Wars again after some years of not playing and have been stumbling on some UI modifications.

One of them Minimalus UI had me really intrigued since it featured a rather flat design, however the only download link I found seems to be dead.

Long story short I was wondering if anyone has the Minimalus UI still on their hard drive and willing to share it with me?

Hom concern........ did I mess up?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2019 12:33 AM PST

Hi I'm a somewhat new player to this game and been enjoying my slow journey to getting at least 30 points in the hall of monument for my gw2 account. Decided that I want to do the campaigns in order (yes, I know that starting from EotN is the better option :p) and been fortunate enough to get assistance from players with a hard mission, difficult bonus, or master rank so far.

Finished Prophecies a few weeks ago (still need to redo some missions for bonus) and I'm on my way doing Factions all Master rank so far, have 5/13 for protector title.......but I just noticed that since I'm not a pure factions character I started from the 3rd mission thus only getting 11/13. Am I missing something or do I always have to make a new character for every campaign to get all points for protector titles? I'm confused and a bit worried

A passionate gw fan :p thank you for helping

    Half-Team Challenge

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 08:11 PM PST

This is a pretty simple idea, not sure if its been proposed before. Also, I'm hoping this subreddit isn't get spammed with too many "challenge ideas". So anyway, here it goes:

Combined with a form of "iron man challenge" (plenty of material on this), complete a campaign with a new character, but only using a half-sized team. For example, if the outpost allows 2-person teams, you can only go solo. If the outpost allows 4-person teams, you can only have a team of 2, and so on, until you are allowed a 4-person team in 8-person areas.

The motivation for this, is that iron man is a lot of fun, for nostalgia sake, etc, but it also isn't "that hard" at the end of the day. On the other hand, I was inspired by a user who completed Prophecies completely solo (read, 1-man team), but wasn't looking for a challenge this intense. I thought a happy medium would be the half-size team challenge. It hopefully preserves the feel of the team-based game, while still adding a raised level of challenge in terms of play tactics and build setup.

Right now, I'm going for henchmen only (no heroes), and only using skills which would be unlocked on a new account, but may end up switching this simply out of boredom (would be fun to play around with reduced team hero-setups and builds). This concept inspired me to pick up the game again, so hoping maybe it can inspire someone else as well. If you know of similar challenges already posted, I would love to read them, or if you have any other ideas, please share as well. So far, the challenge has been fun, but not too difficult (just reached Lion's Arch at level 11). I think the challenge may pick up in Kryta and the desert and beyond, but I may end up adding some further challenge (such as 3-man team in 8-man area).

    Cheers, and happy hunting!

Massive Brain Time: If there were no secondary professions, and primary professions couldn't be stacked on PvP teams, what would the optimal 8v8 comp look like?

Perhaps the most thought defying idea ever thought of, how would these 8v8 comps be organized? Discuss.
