    Idles and bots ruining sPvP

I am an active sPvP player, I have noticed an increasing number of idles and bots on matches lately. Look at this guy running against the wall during the entire match to avoid being kicked as idle. Arena Net should do something about it, is ruining the fun.

    Rampant Botting in PvP

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:01 PM PST

I get Anet doesn't give a damn about this mode, but I've encountered 3 bots in the first two matches I played today. No surprises here, but it was two Weavers and a Scourge. I managed to get the Necro in one of the matches to chase me off a cliff next to the Mine in Niffle. It spent the next 5 minutes running into the wall trying to reach the capture point. The two weavers just kept running mid and endlessly fighting each other until a human player came in and 2v1'd them.

Is this normal? What have you guys seen?

What's your most hated NPC? Mine's Taimi, *commander, commander. I can't hear you commander...* And she keeps popping up ALL the time.

Gw2 is ahead of its time

I thought I pissed off some bots.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:58 AM PST

    Picture for context.

Went to Bjora Marches to do my daily meta and while passing through the front gates, I came across 5 rangers, all with the same Wyvern pet, longbows, and standing in the same spot shooting at the same things. Naturally I thought they were bots and asked the question you see in the picture. ALL 5 of them then whispered me some... pretty amusing things. There was a 5th response that said "you play, we watch" that got cut off. Probably just really cranky farmers lol.

[GW2 Raid Academy] [NA] Zero to Hero Community Raid Event Part 4

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 10:26 AM PST

    Hello all,

Following the continued success of our past Zero to Hero Events, GW2 Raid Academy is pleased to share that we will be hosting another three day long Zero to Hero community event for anyone interested in learning to raid. It will take place next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (December 6th - 8th).

All of the events will be organized through our Discord, so be sure to join and get yourself set up prior to the event starting. Please note that we play on NA servers with players from around the world.

Everyone is encouraged to join - no prior experience or a particular build is required for this event.

Like last time, we will be focusing on both mentoring and training each day. We will not be hosting HP trains, so plan to have the elite spec(s) you are interested in unlocked prior to this weekend.

    Training and Mentoring Weekend

Our raid trainers and mentors will be on hand to go over profession specializations. We would be happy to help you get started with any build - this includes class fundamentals, how to begin gearing, and anything else you may have a question about.

Raid trainings will also be happening throughout the weekend so be sure to hop into groups as they become available.

Expect to see trainings and mentoring sessions starting by ~1pm EST each day, if not earlier. (We have some trainers based outside of NA time zones, so they may start things at different times)

If you're interested in helping with this event, whether its leading runs, mentoring, or just hanging out to answer questions you can let us know with this form.

    More about GW2 Raid Academy:

What do you need to get started?

    • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and improve. Our community is focused on providing a comfortable place for people to learn, train, and grow.
    • Our invite link.
    • If you want to read more about getting geared and ready to raid we recommend these guides:

    How does the server work?

    • Users ping (@mention) roles on the server to notify them when they are setting up a group or looking for interest in a group. There are four main run/group types:
      • Training Runs. - Our volunteer instructors/other staff members host impromptu training runs (and sometimes scheduled sign-ups). Mechanics of the fight will be explained and the goal is to improve and learn the bosses.
      • Practice Runs. These impromptu runs are led by a mix of instructors and community members. Many are still newbie friendly and willing to explain mechanics, but some may ask for a little more experience with an encounter.
      • Clear Runs. These impromptu runs are meant for boss/wing clears and are intended for groups that are more familiar with the bosses.
      • Static Runs. Members of our server have started their own statics and progression groups - they have private text/voice channels and occasionally ping in Practice or Clear runs if they need backups. They also recruit for their static from our server members.

    Still have more questions?

    • Feel free to join the server and use our #ask-a-question channel, or to post questions in this thread and we will try to answer what we can.
      • We realize for some users this may be their first time using Discord. If you have any questions about how to use it or how stuff works, we're also happy to help with that.

"Skyscale of fear" is bugged on EU for 2 days now... the pre-event is stuck and dosnt reset no matter what! so many players wanted to use the weekend to get the little dragon, but this is blocking it harder than a timegate =(

    Beastmaster Ranger

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 07:51 AM PST

Are they somewhat decent in PvP content? I'd imagine better in small skirmishes and 1v1. Do the pets do a good chunk of damage vs. the Ranger's weapon skills?

Is there any way to hide repeatable achievments?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 04:52 AM PST

I know it's a little bit specific, but can you hide them or let them show as completed? For example "additional secrets of the khan-ur" always shows up as uncompleted, altough i have done it 35 times. It's nitpicking but it bothers me with completing the other ones if there is always an incomplete one

Since when was the boss a veteran?

Anyone else notice Faenrir is the same boss with less visible orange attacks?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:39 PM PST

One nice thing about the first strike missions boss was that everything had a nice prompt. All the attacks had bright orange indicators and all that. Now I dont mind them re-using a boss from a few weeks ago, but why change the tells to a lighter hue of orange? Why go from a really visible tell to less so, in a copy paste instance?
