It's so great to see that people keep the spirit of our lore heavy games alive

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 03:32 AM PST

I don't mind needing to pay for extra build templates if it means it'll help arenanet keep the game alive. However, the removal of pvp builds is annoying me. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Or is it just me being stupid?

How Templates realy are. (D3 Video)

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:12 AM PST

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_umatIrWsKM&feature=youtu.be

I post this video link to show to those who might not know how Blizzard implemented D3 Template+Equipment System into the "Armory". It's a one-button system which saves/load not only skills but equipment as well. The items are not "stored" in a seperate template but instead, items are been withrdrawed and equiped directly from invnetory and/or bank. Note that each class has their unique 10 slot Armory. I realy hope that Arenet has gone for this system as well.

I realy think taht GW2 should had a system like this because in my opinion:

    1. It's much more simple.
    2. It works great with alts and gear transferring.
    3. It respects the legendary gear and the effort of acquiring these items.
    4. It's a complete and soild template system and NOT a loadout.
    5. You can experiment with new builds and you can always return to your saved one with one button.
    6. You have equipment + skills combined into one single Template.

I don't expect Arenanet to scrap their whole loadout system, but if we had a chance to talk about the templates before they added them in the game, i would have suggested to go with this implemantation.

PS: Side note that D3 has no subscription fee the armory WAS A COMPLETELY FREE FEATURE that bolstered the players and had a HUGE POSITIVE impact on the game & community.

It would be awesome if Charr could get to change their posture and running animation to be upright like Flame shamans

    Posted: 02 Nov 2019 03:54 PM PDT

Ever since vanilla I've been jealous of Charr npcs running upright and Flame Shamans standing up straight, it would be awesome if we could get this option on character creation / makeover kit, especially considering the current charr heavy episode.

    MacClient graphics error

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:03 AM PST

Does anyone else get a lot of graphic glitching now on the Mac Client? I'm on OS X 15, MacBook Pro 3.1ghz, it used to run smoothly....don't know what happened. I'll try to post more screens but the trees seem to flash in and out and I get a lot of blueing and freezing.

Heads up, maybe, on Australia and Gem Cards

    Posted: 02 Nov 2019 04:08 PM PDT

EB Games is the only legit place to get game cards in Australia. Not long ago, there were no game cards in any EB Games I could find, but now, it seems they're back.

I can't speak for every EB games, but I was just able to buy gem cards in an EB Games in Tasmania. Thought some of you might like to check your local EB games to save some bucks.

    Wiki Project - Legendary Locator

    Posted: 02 Nov 2019 08:13 AM PDT

I spent a couple of days over the past few weeks working on something that I've wanted to do for some time - Legendary Locator. The goal was to take all the Legendary Weapon collections and essentially map out the zone and location of each collection item to make a single, sortable and filterable "database." With this information, you could hit multiple items for multiple collections at once. The ultimate goal is to add this information to the Wiki, but it needs to be done effectively and efficiently so the data correlates to the items and collections appropriately. I'm assuming this would be a bit of an undertaking and I am not a Wiki wizard.

I've compiled all the collections together in a gsheet (also available in excel accumulated and per-sheet formats).

    Some notes about the data:

    1. Tier 2 collections are all omitted. They are all the same.
    2. Tier 4 Chuka & Champawat collections were merged.
    3. Some items are omitted in certain collections such as the collection books purchased from Hobbs and anything that is simply merging multiple items together in inventory.
    4. There are many items that have multiple possibilities for acquisition. For these, I typically picked the easiest to acquire; either based on existing Wiki information or personal knowledge of the game, or I picked the lowest level zone. I also tried to keep zone consistency across a collection in these cases as well.
    5. Zones were conditionally checked during input to eliminate errors.
    6. Locations have an existing Wiki page and are either a region of a zone, POI, hero point, merchant, meta boss, adventure, JP, etc. The goal was to be as specific as possible. I tried to minimize the use of landmarks (which are not POIs) and non-map identifiable locations.
    7. NPCs are listed if their dialogue directly results in the acquisition of the item - e.g. merchants.
    8. Fractals and Meta bosses have two flavors: the first being the Chest. 'End Chest' or '<boss> Chest' means the reward is in the chest or rewarded by defeating said Location. Locations without Chest means that the item is obtained without the necessity of completing the Meta Event or Fractal. (e.g. throwing pheromones on bosses).

I am open to suggestions on how to make this useful on the Wiki and I am on the Wiki Discord as well.

    Cheers - Vision

    Question about Vampiric Aura (Necromancer)

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 03:48 AM PST

So i have a question regarding this, saw the tooltip and on the wiki the formula for its siphon health, but i have a doubt, is it based on my necromancer power or those that have the aura power.

Im asking this because i revamped my necro to be a core condi necro (yes its not scourge or reaper), and being condi i lack a lot of power so i wanted to know that to swap certain trinkets or armor pieces to get carrion to increase its effect on the healing on Hit.

I still think this trait could use a rework, allow ing for power or condi scaling, or even when the target is under effect of bleeding the siphon health is increased Making it up for its condi counter part.

But can anyone confirm if the wiki fórmula is still the current one?

PvE fractal build with priority system instead of rotation?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:18 AM PST

Hi. Trying to get into GW2 again, and trying to find a spec that suits me. Honestly, Google helps little here. So, what I am looking for:

I want to try Fractals, never done them before.

I have every profession at 80, albeit none geared and with limited cash.

I want something that instead of memorizing rotation you have to use skills based on priority system.

So far I see Support / Power DPS Renegade on the Metabattle, where you keep up the buffs for the group and if you have any extra energy, you can fill in your offensive skills. This is exactly what I am describing by priority system.

Revenant overall seems more appealing to me due to resource management. But this particular build requires Diviner's stats, which are kinda hard for me to come by.

    Any other suggestions?
