Once EoD is released, there should be a massive "QoL" patch for the game Posted: 13 Nov 2021 05:17 PM PST ...mostly cause there's a lot of archaic systems and no-gos still in the game. Some of the things I think are important, in no partciular order: LFG and the Achievement Panel need to be expanded on and turned into their own windows. Pretty self explanatory, over the years both of those submenus have massively grown and for how much they hold and how important they are, being a simple submenu doesn't cut it anymore. For the achievement menu, the main benefit would be the ability to show more and present everything much more cleanly, sort out all those achievement categories etc. For the LFG, it should absolutely show map IPs for anything open world related, whether a map is currently full or not... If Anet felt extra spicy, they could also allow for locks based on relevant achievements to the content. For example if you wanted to do w1, the game would present you with checkboxes for the three individual boss kill achievements as well as the Eternal title. If you set one (or multiple) of those boxes, only people who have earned the corresponding achievement(s) can join. Ideally this could help prevent insane KP/LI checks to some degree and thus make things more accessible. Improve the Friend-/Follower-/Blocklist. Blocked players should not have access to any info of the person who blocked them, no means to join any party they created either. Allowing everyone to follow you should be on an opt in (or opt out) basis. If you're opted out, you can only receive friend requests. Fix important broken events, squash some of the more annoying bugs in general. Pretty self-explanatory, I'd say. Mainly those that are tied to achievements, collections and the like. Add checkpoints to all story missions, keep the instance open for 10-15min if you disconnect. Self-explanatory as well. Getting to the end of a story mission, then getting booted/crashing for some reason only to lose all your progress is infuriating and a real stopper to say the least. The game should be able to track your progress inside the story instance even after you disconnect and keep the instance open for a while. Failing to get back in time should at the very least allow you to continue from the last checkpoint you hit once you go back in. I know this might be a lot to ask for to add retroactively, but especially if the Steam launch is going to happen this and the fixing of broken events is incredibly important. In general there's a lot that could be done with an updated LFG Tool. Rework of the TP. It's a slow mess. Nothing else can be said, it really needs to be updated or even reworked from scratch so that it's more enjoyable to use. Wardrobe Check. Like a Gear Check, but it only shows the skins the person is wearing (since lets face it, we'll never get the ability to check someone else's gear). For a game this focused on fashion, this should've been in years ago. Once you select the menu entry, it'll bring up a window with their equipped skins (armor, weapon, glider, mounts...) along with dye channels as applicable. A proper screenshot mode. Maybe not quite QoL, but imo the game would greatly benefit from a screenshot mode similar to XIV's gpose. Same reasons as the wardrobe check really, GW2 is heavily focused on fashion + there's tons of gorgeous areas, so why not make it easier for players to take screenshots by letting them control animations, day/time cycles etc. Of course there's also matters such as balance, addressing e.g. bots in PvP etc. but which are equally if not more important, but they aren't QoL so I don't feel they belong in this thread. Either way that's all I have so far, I'm sure there's other important QoL-related things that should be addressed, but that's what the comments are for. [link] [comments]

I just realize something about the Mist. Posted: 14 Nov 2021 05:57 AM PST Basically, everyone that died end up there (except for Sylvari, but they're a special case) and some ended up in special realms. So, if we search long and thorough enough, we should be able to find the extinct species from the last time the Dragon woke up and destroy everything (Glint's time, like the Forgotten and True Giants), and maybe even the species that was killed off before that in previous cycle. I would love to meet with them and just learn their lore and stuff. [link] [comments]

New mesmer+legendary accessory bug? Posted: 13 Nov 2021 11:15 PM PST I'm not a big mesmer player so I'm not sure if this is new or if I just never noticed it. I have Vision and Aurora, but my clones have the animation of 3 legendary trinkets above their head. [link] [comments]

Lore question: are human gods truly that useless? Posted: 14 Nov 2021 03:41 AM PST It's been a long while since I've done any deep diving into the gw lore, and even longer since I've touched original GW campaigns. What prompted this question is the run in with Kormir and her consequential uselessness (that part I do somewhat remember from original game, she was useless even back then before becoming a god). So I guess my question is: are human gods really that useless? From what I can remember they did absolutely nothing for humans at very least for the entirety of GW2 and now from what I understand they have also just left into the sunset for good (not that anyone would probably notice, since they were not doing anything already for a long time). Can anyone enlighten me here? Are human gods really that useless, or at least useless for the only race that actually bothers to revere them? Also what are the implications of them leaving now? I'm not sure how exactly their temples/prayers operated beforehand (since they were not intervening for a long while by now as I understand), how they will function now? There still seems to be a lot of following among the humans despite all of the above, or am I wrong? [link] [comments]
Is the Five Elder Dragons truly dead? Posted: 14 Nov 2021 12:18 AM PST Could they somehow still exist somewhere in Mist Glint and Vlast style? I really love Modremoth design and aesthetic, and felt it a wasted opportunity that we never see a true Jungle Dragon's Champion. Heck, Anet could spin this by saying like Treahearne, Modremoth planted a seed in Zojja, and that's why she's been out of the action all this time. Modremoth has merged with Zojja and decided to watch from the sidelines how everything regarding the other Elder Dragons and Gods unfolded. [link] [comments]

Similarities between WoW patch 9.2 and GW2 Posted: 14 Nov 2021 07:46 AM PST I apologise if you think this post does not belong here and please feel free to delete it/message me about it, but I could not help but notice a lot of similarities between the recently announced new WoW areas to be released in Shadowlands patch 9.2 and, a certain Metrica Province maybe? Posted: 14 Nov 2021 07:10 AM PST Hi guys. I only have the base game for now. I am playing core ranger (longbow + greatsword) with full berserker stats. But I feel like something is lacking. I wanna focus on fractals more, so I came up with a condition-type build (shortbow + axe-mainhand/torch off-hand). Can you guys tell me what is your take on it, and if you have any pointers / any modifications you would make to it? Here is the link: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?POzAUd/lZw+YdsNGKOUL9LbA-zRRYbBbG1syIiUoiKwyTAwipObA-e And here is a photo of my current stats with full berserker: Thank you all for helping me.
