There really should be a quest panel for things like the side stories and things like the griffin and skyscale. It would also be nice if the meta achievements had a tree like structure containing all of their sub achievements. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 10 Jul 2021 02:38 AM PDT Seeing hackers teleport from gathering node to gathering node — half underground so they don't aggro anything — is a daily occurrence on maps like Siren's Landing and Dragon's Stand. It's nothing special. I got used to seeing it, still cursing every single one of those bastards when I see them, but accepting it probably won't change. Now today, I went to Hoelbrak to do my Dragon Bash daily, and for the first time I saw them teleporting from regular Pinata to regular Pinata and even in the Pinata adventure. The hackers just really stopped giving a shit. They know Anet does nothing about them so they just start hacking in the most populated maps now to maximise their profits. Meanwhile there are 3 bots in my friendslist that are in rated PvP matches 24/7, which I report every single time I open the lfg, and whenever I'm standing around, waiting for a meta. One of them even has a name that is literally mocking Anet for doing nothing about bots. They go completely unpunished for several months now, probably even longer but I rarely play PvP so I wouldn't know. I really, really hope all those devs who are busy working on Alliances, DX11, and EoD use some of their resources for better bot and hacker protection. I wouldn't mind waiting even longer for the orb toggle if it would mean I don't have to see those scummy hacking assholes ever again. If only we could get those bots to say something racist or homophobic. Anet is really quick to swing the banhammer on that... [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 10 Jul 2021 06:22 AM PDT So like many people here I have been sitting on Vision and Aurora (all quests and mats ready to go) and sadly I won't be pulling the trigger right now beacuse of the lack of check box functionality coming to these 3 items in particular. I'm pretty sad that there is no option for legendary trinkets and I'm curious how many of you that own one of these 3 would trade them at a vendor for a totally different legenday item that had no visual effect attached. I would craft them and trade them without a second thought. I feel like it wouldn't be too hard to offer a merchant that literally exchanges, say, Aurora for another legendary trinket with a different name that has no effects. You bypass the slumbering problem with this and gives people like me a reason to actaully craft their legendary trinkets. Maybe the merchant would offer one for the other infinitely so you could switch back and forth if you wanted, although I would gladly do this even if it was a one way deal. Thoughts? I like how it is now but I also liked how it used to be. A mixture of both would be nice. I was wondering which dyes match the color scheme for the weapons. Right now I am using "Rose Ice" and "Humiliation" but it doesn't seem to match perfectly. Posted: 10 Jul 2021 03:59 AM PDT So, since Anet has confirmed that they won't be adding an option to turn off the visual effects of aurora/vision/coalescence, how feasible would it be to make a minor edit to the clientside asset files to disable them? For other games, this usually entails just going in, and swapping out a file, or part of a file with transparency and calling it a day. Example, More Complicated Example A clientside fix would, of course, disable the effects for ALL rendered characters, not just the player, but that's a small price to pay to not have to deal with the ugly effects for another several years. It might also be impossible due to how gw2 assets are stored. [link] [comments] | ||
