Hardstuck SAB Tribulation Contest! Posted: 10 Apr 2021 02:01 AM PDT Hello Reddit!Hardstuck is organizing yet another competition for you all, this time for the Super Adventure Box yearly event! The event will feature a video submission speed-run competition for SAB Tribulation Mode in every zone, with a total prize pool of currently 5000 Gold spread across the Top 8 of each individual zone. Prizing will keep increasing by the time the submissions deadline is reached, so feel free to send more items over at Mela.2918 if you would like to contribute! Submission Videos of the runs must be sent on Discord at Mela#4287 by April 25th 9PM UTC. Quick Rules: • Videos for the submission have to be from this year's Super Adventure Box • Performing jumps that allow you to get outside of the map right before the very first Checkpoint in W1Z1 and basically the whole map is not allowed. • Using Skills that are outside of the SAB game mode such as pets, minions and actual profession weapons or skills is not allowed But that's not all the jumping I have for you, there is more. The Top 2 participants that end up claiming most of the SAB zones for themselves, will join into a live full SAB speed-run for the final showdown. The person that ends up winning most of the zones in the live segment will win more Gold, some shiny Gems and a personal drawing of a character of your choice in a nice Super Adventure Box theme, made by our amazing Artlord Emecci! Make sure to check out some of his work! The Winners will be shown and will participate in the Final live segment on Mela's Twitch Stream on April 26th 2PM UTC If you're interested in more events like these then the best way to know when they're happening is to join our Discord Server and become Hardstuck with us! We hope to see a lot of you participating, dodge jumping and bashing your head against walls. Good luck and have spikes![link] [comments]

I tried heal/boon herald for raids in place of druid and was pleasantly surprised Posted: 09 Apr 2021 07:24 PM PDT OK - so I've made just about every raid build, and got to theorycrafting - cause I like to - and got to wondering after some of the recent patches if herald could fill a druid's role in raiding. In my opinion, the core of heal druid's role in raiding is:
So with that in mind, I took heavy inspiration from another build to form this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PmwAw6ZlpQJMLiidRTMMqiJShsCagn7ldrE-zRJYqRHfZUdKkeF47A-e It, in my opinion, is able to cover all of the core of druid's role - it just doesn't have all the same utility to cover some of the specialized roles (don't try to push on SH with this...). Maybe it can cover some unique roles I haven't thought of though... For might/fury, I present a replay's boon table (names hidden to protect the guilty): Consistent heals are provided via regen combined with Elden's Respite. Burst heals come from staff (though best to camp sword/shield for might gen). Unique boons are:
When comparing to druid, herald's pros/cons: Pros:
Cons:
So on some fights, druid would certainly be preferred, but I feel like on others this could actually be a stronger alternative. The best example I can think of is CA - a bursty power DPS buff, an AoE knockback on low CD (for shields), and plus stacking regen/prot/swiftness helps collectors have an safer time are all good fits. What are you all's thoughts on this build? EDIT: So my understanding from the wiki was flawed, and burst of strength hits 5 targets, rather than applies the buff to 5 targets. That kinda cripples much of the reason for this build.... but still a fun thought. [link] [comments]

Also not sure if you guys have noticed, but power Chrono is pretty strong right now, so instead of going with our old standard comps, we went PURPLE. Our clear could have been 15-20 seconds faster quite easily, we have an 11 second faster Samarog CM, an 8 second faster Deimos CM, and we could have min-maxed our rotations on Cairn more to skip the 3rd green entirely. However, due to scheduling, fatigue, and the Hardstuck Raiding Tournament on the horizon, we have decided to call it here! Cairn: Quite standard. Cairn CM doesn't actually gain any extra health over normal mode so as long as we efficiently fit the special action key into our rotation, our kill times can be very similar to normal mode. The only other catch is skipping greens and getting petrified if you skip more than 1. We went to the first green since Chronos are just casting phantasms anyways in their CS opener, and we used nature spirit to get stability for the 2nd one. We should have easily been able to skip the 3rd green entirely, but due to some inconsistencies, laziness, and other factors, we just played it safe and focused on the rest of the wing. Mursaat Overseer: Honestly, nothing super note worthy here. The Banner Berserker and some help from the Druid cleared the scouts so that we didn't have to deal with any soldiers. The rest was just rotations. Samarog: This is where things started to get interesting. We had never done power Chrono stack on Samarog or Sam CM before this grind, but it was quickly obvious how powerful it is with pretty little effort.. It has insane CC, Stability Mantra, and it's rotation is not very restrictive. The one caveat is that during our grind, Samarog CM became bugged. The spears don't always get pulled in, and there is no obvious tell what causes it from what we can tell. This made the boss more reliant on RNG and luck, It's not impossible to stay consistent, but it's still a loss if you have to adapt in a suboptimal way due to the bug. I hope it get's fixed before the tournament! ;) ;) Deimos: Deimos will probably be the most controversial boss from this full clear. We opted to skip the 75% and 50% with Continuum Split, and sacrifice the 25% green. This is overall a cheezie/exploity move, but it just worked so well for our strategy that we went for it. We had our Druid tank and our alacrity Renegade hand kite, his build is quite unique and he stayed very very close to the group with hands in order to give us his juicy buffs. Some minor things to make the strategy work as well include: Mass Invis at 10% so that we don't all immediately get murdered by the 6 Sauls when we get ported, using Inspiring Reinforcement to have stability for his slams at 10%, our BS intentionally losing stealth first to try and bait the attacks of the Sauls, and we also swapped to 10% damage reduction food during the roleplay before the 10% phase. if u want sab infusion - just do it Posted: 09 Apr 2021 02:29 PM PDT Just want to state that tribulation mode is actually fun once u get used to it. The first run is a fkn pain in the ass and maybe takes hours, but second and third run will be much faster and after that its just an extremly good jumping puzzle which is a lot of fun to run multiple times. Posted: 09 Apr 2021 09:32 AM PDT Hello everyone! We decided to try to do a Restricted Artsariiv kill, first to see how good it would be with our 2SLB 2DH 1Ren comp and second because it hasn't been optimized before. We thought having to CC the adds during split phases would slow us down, but turns out that we had more than enough CC, so we just went for the fastest and most reliable CC schedule we could think of. Hope you'll enjoy watching the kill as much as we enjoyed doing it ! Log: https://dps.report/qeN0-20210408-181727_arriv PoVs:Delay | Soulbeast | https://youtu.be/sNi-C4DgOYI Pineapple | Renegade | https://youtu.be/eN8ulRzczj0 Tantor | Dragonhunter | https://youtu.be/4pxsuQ2lUvY Magic | Dragonhunter | https://youtu.be/9EU_5dDrLks BlackHawk | Soulbeast | https://youtu.be/NyzJXwiRz2k SoulbeastTaking gazelle on both Soulbeast was probably the only way to get enough CC to achieve this. Unmerging gave us access to the core F2 ability on gazelle. This ability to CC multiple targets at the same time while also being at high range. The Soulbeasts staggered Sic 'Em so that they wouldn't have to wait for it to be off cooldown to start p3, because waiting was taking more time. We also started the boss very quickly to get as much One Wolf Pack as possible in p1. Each Soulbeasts could only castOne Wolf Pack One Wolf Pack once on the mistlock because if one of the Soulbeasts double cast it it wouldn't have been off cooldown at the beginning of p3 which would have made p3 extremely difficult. Thanks to the Lightning field provided by the Renegade using Inspiring Reinforcements Soulbeasts were able to get Severance sigil and Twice as Vicious in p3 using only a Leap finisher from Worldly Impact. DragonhunterDragonhunter provides a decent amount of CC thanks to Bane Signet, Binding Blades and Blind/Slow that could be applied with multiple skills like Leap of Faith, Symbol of Blades and Purification. They were the main source of damage as the lenght of the damage phases and the lenght of the CC phases right after allowed them to have a full burst in each damage phase. The Dragonhunters used Shield of Courage to aegis p2 and p3 slams in order to not have to dodge to upkeep scholar uptime and to allow the Soulbeasts to use channelled skills like Whirling Defense. They also used the Honor traitline to precast stronger symbols in p1. RenegadeThe Renegade did a "Reversed" rotation than what is seen on most videos. This is because in our CC ditribution the Renegade uses Forced Engagement instead of Darkrazor to cc an add which allows for a rotation more focused on damage output. The specific advantages of this rotation are: higher Soulcleave's Summit uptime and the ability to simultaneously CC 2 Adds during the second CC phase with only 1 Forced Engagement. Soulcleave's Summit scales with the Renegade's power that is heavily increased thanks to the Bane Signet buffs, this resulted in Soulcleave's Summit doing a total of 300k during the whole fight. Lasting Legacy was ran to sustain 25 stacks of Might throughout the fight. That's it for the theory, hope you'll like the videos! [link] [comments]
