Not sure where to start! Posted: 24 Mar 2021 06:30 AM PDT Hello there! WoW vet, attempting a migration towards GW2 but failing at it. I installed the game and decided to read a few guides but it's just so overwhelming and I have no idea how to start and where. The sheer amount of systems and info in GW2 is quite large for a newbie like me. So, I have a couple of questions that you may be able to help me with: I love 2h swords/axes/hammers: is there any class that focuses on those and is successful at it? I saw a video of a a dude playing a reaper and looked cool but not sure what else is there. What's the easiest way to find a guild or a community? I'm in the EU if that helps Can someone explain how gear works in this game? I understand that there's no gear treadmill per se (which is cool actually) but how can I then make my character more powerful? How is PvP compared to WoW? Right now I'm WoW pvp is just about the burst and no strat whatsoever. Cairn the Indomitable Duo 11:58 No(ish) Agony Posted: 23 Mar 2021 10:57 PM PDT After seeing the recent glitched Carin record we were really curious to see how hard it is to avoid the shared agony mechanic. We decided to test it out and practice the strat as duo healer/dps and realized we could probably get the kill. Once we did, we had to try and ~halve the first run's kill time. No, it's not quite twice as fast as Sejsel's solo record (doing greens), but the theorycrafting to try and get sub 12 with our skill level was pretty fun. We don't see an obvious way to get under the enrage timer with this comp/strat, unfortunately. 100% Replicatable Revenant Skill-Swap Bug (MOUNTS?!) Posted: 23 Mar 2021 12:03 PM PDT I got pretty furious this morning because I kept getting the skill-swap bug. I recently discovered that you can swap stances (and spam skills with no-cooldowns) out of combat without incurring legend-swap CD. I found out, apparently our mounts have some sort of connection as to why the skill-swap bug seems to happen? They seem to have their own hotbars stored.
