    Greetings from the Seventeen Elitists [XVII] !

     

    As we were not happy with our Gold League kill and felt that our composition should perform better, even without the on-heal food use, we decided to invest some more time to improve our strategy. It took us a while to refine the rotations and damage distributions to phase CA in the shortest possible time without losing too many swords:

    The initial idea was to take 4 Dragonhunters and 3 pChronos to cover the quickness so we could drop any kind of support Chrono. While in our first attempts the Chronos pulled significantly ahead in the burn phases, we realized that our DHs covered the most DPS on the hands and last burn phases and did not fall behind too much in the 1st burn phase as long as we let them play the Virtues traitline and buffed them with the Bane Signet shared through Perfect Inscription. To provide permanent Aegis for the virtues DHs to maintain Unscathed Contender and to use the PI trait we first brought a Core Guard. After some time we realized that the damage spike provided by Procession of Blades was actually so strong, that a PI DH outperformed the Core Guard. To maximize the effect we also replaced one pChrono with an additional virtues DH. To support our might uptime while the Druid is collecting and to provide EA to all the other power classes our warrior ran with tactics. So our final composition was:

    Sword collection and usage The BS and the Alacren were responsible for the sword collection for all phases but the first 2 hand phases. The sword collection and usage was optimized so we could burst as soon as possible in all phases, without compromising the burn time or collection of swords for the following hands. In the second burn the Renegade ran out towards the sword orbs to collect as many of them as we could, sacrificing personal DPS.

    Sunrise on asura clipping to the ground. Currently deciding between char and asura to make as my new ranger. I like the animations, lore, characterm sounds and style better on asuras, but there is this one issue that's really annoying me. I heard there was a way to fix this (look at my comment)

    Guild Leader,Twitch Streamer, Discord Leader, Student and Artist.

    She made a ton of GW2 art and even featured it for her uni art project that she shared in our discord. Admittedly, ive been focusing on my own school work and had to force myself away from GW2 but just came in to check my twitch and discord and found all her accounts 404'd. Even her uni art gallery featuring her GW2 projects are 404. Anyone have news on where she went?

    I don't know how I've never noticed before, but when doing Drakkar today I heard one of the ambient sounds in the frozen lake are actual hard-to-understand whispers with the rest of the sound effects. I don't mean like when Jormag is actually talking to you and you can see the text in your chat bar, I mean more like when we heard whispers surrounding the mysterious travellers (but not backwards.) I turned up my volume to try and understand them but its difficult, I can only get out something that sounds like "here within my heart."

    Does anyone happen to know what they say? Have we figured that out?

    I'm returning to the game after a bit of a hiatus and would like to get into one of these two builds. Are both of these still relatively viable for most open world stuff? Which is the better and more fun option?

    I was looking for some way to store books on the game, this topic shows a great option but is an old topic.

    Anet simply need do this, why a lot books on the game if we need delete? The best option is a character useless with full bags storing books.

    City of Arah Experience

    I had not done City of Arah p1,2,3,4 for few years now. They were last paths for my "Dungeon Master" achievement. I saw in daily City of Arah yesterday, and gave it a chance. Even though, there are bunch of people waiting at waypoint, there was no parties listed in LFG. I found one party doing p1 by chance, and finished it. There were 2 people who knows what they are doing and we just followed them. I found another party which didnt decide path, asked whether we could do p2. They agreed and we did it. There were one guy who knows p2.

    I was on roll so I just created party saying "p3, first timer" in LFG. I was expecting noone will come or when we fail a boss they would just leave the party like how people behave in fractals. Oddly enough, people came and they stayed even if we fail. We solve, learn by ourselves and it was fun. Of course I didnt stop there and did p4 with "first timer" people.

    Unlike fractals or farmable dungeons -dungeons people did only fastest routes with fastest way-, it was stress free and fun. Since it is too long for any people to "farm", there would be no efficiency seeking party members. Was it efficient? No. We killed most of mobs, we went wrong ways, tried to figure out mechanic. But it was fun.

    If you still have not "Dungeon Master" or want to try something new, try this dungeon -at least it is in daily-.

    the drawing is already some months old but still the best I´ve done this year D:

    ps: I love my necro Ravi to bits. I never thought I would like Necro after deleting my first gw2 chara - which was a necro - after a week. The staff is just clumsy and I don´t like it at all but boi oh boi I love rocking the greatsword on this class.
