    Some of you will be familiar with the Beetle Races, in game mount races across Tyria, which challenge players daily.

    Sign ups are open until the 31th (NA) and 1st (EU). Two hours before the race starts sign ups will be closed.

    The race will be on a custom track in the Lost Precipice [HUR]. You will be allowed to practice on this circuit during the previous weeks once you get signed up (I'ts required to have a free guild slot). There will be 2 laps per race.

    Anyone knows what this effect is? Yellow stuff dropping around my character. It´s a lvl 80 i created with the level boost that came in the shared inventory slot, if it helps.

    Vision legendary trinket is unobtainable unless you already did the bugged part, this needs urgent fix

    Tl;dr: The caravan event in Istan required to get Vision got bugged in October 15th patch to the point it is totally impossible to get this event done. If you want to get Vision soon, you should be aware of this issue. If you already got the caravan thing done then you got lucky.

    Fun Open World Build: Combo Scrapper

    Hello Reddit! I wanted to share an open world build I've been having a lot of fun with - the Combo Scrapper. This is a pretty cohesive (and thematic) build that has decent damage and great sustain, while still being group friendly during meta events. It focuses on:

    • Skill Combinations
    • Explosions
    • Crowd Control
    • Wrenches (not really, but Fix-r-Upper is recommended)

    Combos

    This build is the master of the self combo and includes 3 different fields and all 4 finishers:

    • 2 mobile water fields
    • 1 mobile fire field
    • 2 fixed lightning fields
    • Several blast finishers, including a double blast finisher on low cooldown
    • Double leap finisher
    • Whirl finisher on low cooldown
    • 100% projectile finisher

    A lot of fun with this build is mix and matching the combos based on what's needed at the time - area might, area healing, area swiftness, self healing, daze, vulnerability. And all of the combos are useful to the build.

    Explosions

    Explosions are fun and one of the main reasons I play engineer. In this build, explosions give you:

    • Fury (100% uptime)
    • Self healing
    • Vulnerability on any affected targets

    Explosions come from: Hammer 2, Blast gyro, Throw Mine, Mine Field, Explosive Entrance, Takedown Round, Detonate Supply Crate.

    Crowd Control

    Aside from the general defensive benefits from CC, this build gets extra bonuses for disabling enemies:

    • Barrier (724 per enemy, no ICD)
    • Stability (+5% damage)
    • Superspeed (+5% damage)

    The focus on CC skills is also great with breakbars. CC skills: Hammer 5, Tool Kit 5, Blast Gyro, Throw Mine, Function Gyro, Supply Crate.

    That's probably more info than anybody wants, so I'll stop there. If you like Engineer, try it out! Let me know what you think, or if you've had success with something similar.

    Does anyone actually do Serpent's Ire?

    I ask, because its the last recording I need for the Golem Y Backpack, and nobody ever does it. I heard TTS used to do it, but they have seemingly disappeared of the internet, and I can't find another guild that runs it.

    It just feel so frustrating to have content locked behind events that nobody does. A few days ago, I did manage to get a group of 10ish people, but we didn't have enough cc to clear Phase 2, and it was very frustrating.

    pBS rotation question

    Hey guys, I have a question about the power Berserker Banner slave rotation.

    The rotations I see posted online say to go pure axe and use weapon swap as part of the rotation.

    My question is, when you need to run mace/mace for CC on your off set what do you swap the weapon swap with your rotation. Just Auto attacks?

    What is the DPS loss of going going Axe/Axe+Mace/Mace vs pure axe like?

    If the DPS loss isn't significant would it be worth it go Axe/Axe+Axe/Torch for the precast of torch 5? (In a pure DPS situation where you don't need CC)
