Posted: 07 Oct 2020 06:12 AM PDT Next week the farming begins again. I know many have their opinions and preferences on what to run, but this is what I've found to be very effective, and thought I would share: Shortbow / Staff DD http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PalAUZlZw2YesLGJmMXrNLA-zxQYhIC2JFwQ0LBqXAA-e The build is designed to maximize condi clears and endurance regen, which in turn helps with more tagging via Lotus Training. Swipe + Shadowstep are there, alongside Infiltrator Arrow, to help if you fall behind tag, as you want to be at the tip of the spear at all times. Actual gear doesn't matter, but remember the goal isn't to do max DPS, as all you need is to tag mobs and the zerg will burn them down. To that end, I'd recommend buying/crafting a low level shortbow that you will scrap at the end of event, which will reduce your DPS in check without having to worry too much about unequipping trinkets. And if you get caught behind and need to do normal damage, you just swap to your staff. Friendly reminder: work with the tag on the map. Don't go ahead of them to pull, let them open the doors, and in general just try not to be a jerk. When players cooperate, everyone has a more fun and efficient farming experience. Also remember, do nothing unless you hear "Your Mad King says.." [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Oct 2020 05:34 PM PDT I do have a question though. Am I missing out on a bit part of the game by not crafting? There are so many different kinds of materials and such it's a little overwhelming since I'm not a crafter but I don't want to waste them if I can use them in the mystic forge or something Edit: Thanks so much for the award as I am very excited learning new things about the game!! Posted: 06 Oct 2020 11:39 AM PDT I would love for the Guild Wars 2 team to delve deeper into the ancient history's of Tyria, for example e.g. Giganticus Lupicus, Jotun (prime), etc. [link] [comments]
Can someone suggest me an open world healbrand build that uses a staff mainly? Posted: 07 Oct 2020 02:28 AM PDT Edit: Since people keep bringing it up I'll clarify that I'm not gonna be playing it all the time. I'll just be switching to it when I'm playing with friends or doing difficult world bosses or events. I know the open world should be a place for you to do your own thing where any build you make goes. But I feel like I was being very inefficient and so I wanted a few veterans' advice. I don't need the best or something meta, I just want something that works and won't make me feel incompetent. So the condition is that I wanna use a staff...preferably only a staff and nothing else. I don't know where I'll do all the healing, maybe in world bosses, but I just wanna play a healer using a staff cause it looks cool. I want something that's either fully optimized for healing and nothing else, or something that is well rounded enough for me to hold my own in open world and do decent healing on top of that but I'm mostly considering it for group stuff in open world. (Also I definitely want quickness, everything just feels so slow without it.) I checked Metabattle and there weren't many options and it's usually all raid and fractal stuff so I was wondering if reddit has anything to offer. Any suggestions to my selfish request? Posted: 07 Oct 2020 07:55 AM PDT After logging in this morning, my ping is ridiculously high. It's like I'm on a server across the sea or something. It is on every game mode and every map. Anyone else having this issue? I ran a ping test and my internet is fine. My ping in game is comparable to Brazil in the test that I ran. [link] [comments]

Lag now even on Bjora Marches?! Posted: 06 Oct 2020 10:30 AM PDT Basically title. I only encountered this pesky lag on PoF and LS S4 maps but as of yesterday I also had some pretty hefty lags on Bjora while doing my Eternal Ice shard run. And I never had those lags occur on the map before... Anyone else? [link] [comments]
Renegade or Holosmith? (In terms on enjoyment) Posted: 07 Oct 2020 03:22 AM PDT I have collected 40 tomes of knowledge that should lvl up one of my character all the way to lvl 80. But my question is which one do i boost to lvl 80? Im not really looking for what's meta or not(but i am considering what they do/use on fractals). Im choosing between them in terms of enjoyment and aesthetic of their gameplay. Renegade has that "Gilgamesh" aesthetic with all the portal summoning arrows while holosmith has that futuristic aesthetic on their photon forge (also they have an Hyper Beam cannon for an elite which is kinda badass). Which elite specs do you guys enjoy more in playing in openworld and fractals? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]

Sunqua Peak Fractal: bug or hotfix ? Posted: 07 Oct 2020 04:19 AM PDT Hi everybody I've tried this fractal in CM yesterday past 6:00PM (utc+2) with my friends They are good overall and we had the DwD title together, so our runs are usually rather smooth But this time we had a big issue with the water link mechanic (P1 at 33%) In general, when a linked player reach 10 stacks, he/she gets down, which is not a problem since everyone is stacked so the revive is quite easy But yesterday, the one shot mechanic seemed to be followed by insane AoE damages.. We were all stacked, so the green circles shouldn't be the source of those damages; I was also dropping some heals regularly to mitigate them The IG combat logs seems to only show the green circles damages, which aren't high enough to kill 1 player (4-5k each time) AFAIK the instabilities were manageables (harmstrung, boon overload, and maybe adrenalin rush) I've also seen a twitch stream where the party got absolutely destroyed by the water link as well an hour ago Did you noticed it recently ? Did I missed a fractal update that involve this mechanic ? Is it a bug, or could it be a hotfix ? Maybe this link behavior was designed to encourage affected players to split from the rest of the group ty for reading [link] [comments]
