Largos and Adina records by Dispossession [dP]

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 07:22 AM PDT

Post written by Ryan. I am posting on his behalf

    Largos 2:12

Our main timesave comes from stacking condi chronos with Time Warp and Well of Recall instead of the traditional setup of mirages plus boon chrono. Besides dropping two dedicated support slots, cchrono personal dps can outscale that of mirage on phases where Continuum Split is available.

Dash pattern is far->far->tank. The group baits the first dash by backing away from the boss inside cs and using Illusionary Counter to block the dash hit. The druid tank is able to control the 2nd and 3rd dash because he is both the farthest and the tank (shoutout to Proto, Puddles, Felix, Chem). Dps check is phasing the boss before the 2nd dash. Kenut's boonstrip attack can only steal 5 stacks of quickness. To maximize quickness uptime, both druids took celerity sigil and proc'd its effect each gaining 1 stack of 10s quickness before getting hit by the attack and donating it to Kenut. To prevent tornados from covering the boss, the non-tank druid baits the attack trailing behind the tornado's path as close as possible. This way, we maximize the amount of time we have before the tornado comes back.

No tornado spawn in p2/p3 has something to do with "going too fast" and was deemed legal within the speedrun community's ruleset because it is consistent, reproducible, and frankly hard to avoid without intentionally throttling your dps and character movement.

Our main timesave comes from stacking power soulbeast, which allowed us to skip pillar drop during p4 in addition to p1/p2 (seen in the previous record). However, while investing in pslb yielded higher boss dps, we were punished by its weaker split phase potential.

In order to make the split phase functional, soulbeasts took Quick Draw in instead of the traditional grandmaster trait in Skirmishing. Sacrificing the dps modifier from Vicious Quarry was worthwhile because we were able to get two consecutive casts of Barrage or Whirling Defense through the split-boss transition. On the main phases, we recovered some damage by QD'ing Path of Scars or Rapid Fire.

We chose the 4-4-1-1 subgroup distribution with two guardians because pslb is only an overpowered dps class if you have scholar. Ignoring the incoming damage pressure from hands and erosion debuff in p4 required our PI guardians share Signet of Courage in addition to the standard Bane Signet. To mitigate the long cast time of this skill, which locks you in place, we chose Merciful Intervention, which conveniently doubles as a supplementary group heal. Using Whirling Wrath before Symbol of Wrath on certain boss phases can provide an additional cast before the boss goes invulnerable.

PSA - exploits@arena.net has been disabled.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 01:01 PM PDT

I wanted to report some hackers in PvP, I sent an appropriate footage to [exploits@arena.net](mailto:exploits@arena.net) as I had done a few times over past several years. This is what I got in return:

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! The [exploits@arena.net](mailto:exploits@arena.net) email account has been disabled. To report an exploit, please submit a ticket via our support site at https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. If you are unable to login to the support site, you can still click "submit your ticket anonymously" to send your report. Alternatively, you can email your report directly to [support@arena.net](mailto:support@arena.net).

When reporting an exploit, please be sure to include as much information as possible, such as the area in which you encountered the issue, steps to reproduce the exploit, and any screenshots or video footage you may have captured.

If you need to include a file that is too big to attach to an email, we encourage you to host it on an external service such as YouTube, or you can upload it to a file sharing service like Google Drive and share the link with us. However, please make sure you mark these files as "Hidden" or "Private" so that only those who receive the link in your ticket can access them. This way, we can ensure that it isn't publicly available to players who might abuse it.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding, and for helping us to uncover exploits in Guild Wars 2!

    Regards,

Not sure what to make of it - [explots@arena.net](mailto:explots@arena.net) never replied, but I did see a few bugs (map breaks in WvW) fixed after I reported it there.

    Dragon coffers

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 07:38 AM PDT

Hi guys I'm curious about the dragon coffers, judging by the prices went down, compared to last year, is it now more worth it to open then sell, or keep and sell later? What do you think? And why did the prices went that low? I've heard that they changed something about the drops, but I'm not sure it's true or not?

I wish I gotten the Griffon and Beetle sooner, it was so fast and easy

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 01:30 PM PDT

I didn't work for those 2 mounts before because I thought the grind for them was going to be agonizingly time consuming, but I got the Griffon in a single sitting session and so too with the Roller beetle.

Not only was getting them quick, but the mounts are SO fast and fun to use, I dont see myself using the raptor ever again.

So for those noobs out there, seriously, just follow a guide, the mounts are so worth it you can get each mount in a single sitting. You can solo almost all the steps except 2 or 3 bounties but you can use LFG tool to find other people, maybe I was lucky because I didn't to wait much to find the groups.

You should get commendations from repairing in Drizzlewood, raising morale, etc.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 10:56 AM PDT

No one repairs in Drizzlewood because you don't get anything for it, and you need the war supplies for keys. It's actually sort of depressing seeing players completely neglect repairs because it's unnecessary to progress the meta and because it provides no benefit to the player.

A possible good way to balance this would be to provide charr commendations for using war supplies for things that actually help the map. Doesn't need to be a huge amount, just something so people don't feel like they're completely wasting supplies.

edit: another possibility is to have war supplies be only for meta-related uses, cap it at around 2000(to avoid stockpiling), and have a different currency for personal items such as keys, minis, decorations, etc. That way you don't have to decide between helping out vs personal gain.

Had an idea for a play through series

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 07:04 AM PDT

Hey guys! I've been playing gw1 since 2005, got gw2 at launch but have kind of been on and off with it. I was thinking of doing a video series of gw2's story by playing through all of it, starting from character creation (with some context of how we got here) playing through the personal story, lw season 2, HoT, lw season 3, PoF, lw season 4, and what's been released of ice brood saga so far. Is there anything specific you wanted to see? I was thinking of making my videos sort of like what Nobbel87 does for wow. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

    Path Of Fire sale

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 06:43 AM PDT

Hey y'all! I used to play this back in the day, completed almost all the core content. Been wanting to get back at it again and play through the expansions but sadly due to the economic state of my county (and my cuarentined ass lol) paying $30 just isn't an option, even tho it's probably very much worth it. So, that leaves me with the question, is there a way I can get the expansions on a discount? I saw g2a keys were fairly cheap but I'm not sure it's trustworthy, any opinions on that?

Anyways, thank you all for your help.
