Bug: Mini Roller beetle can interact with buttons in SAB Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:58 AM PDT Thought I was going mad initially, the mini roller beetle awarded by the roller beetle racing minigame can interact with the Qbert puzzles in 2-3, runing your ability to finish the puzzle. Any time he walks/rolls over a button it presses. I've only tested a few minis, but this looks to be the only one that does this. Even the trailblazer roller beetle doesn't press the buttons! If I had to guess, the mini is considered a scaled down mount, and therefore a "player" which can press the buttons in game. Fun little interaction! EU servers have been terrible past few days Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:05 PM PDT Constant lag issues on PvE maps (5-10s of just lag spikes), and now Monthly Automated Tournament is having issues with players dcing and getting locked out for large portions of the game. Perhaps this could be looked into sometime soon? [link] [comments]
Hidden Whisper of Jormag from u/roelski with cleaner audio Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:31 PM PDT Hey, I ripped the audio from u/roelski's video they posted (so don't give me credit) and reduced the wind and background noise quite a bit to make Jormag's voice much easier to hear and understand for people trying to figure out what is being said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W12hA_VdJ5M Give u/roelski all the credit in their post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/g7uq2v/hidden_whisper_of_jormag/ I only made a separate post so that this cleaned up audio doesn't get buried at the bottom of the comments there. I just wanted to make it easier for people to find and listen/transcribe. I'm not the one that found this. [link] [comments]

GW2 Trading Post Push Notifications Posted: 25 Apr 2020 02:55 PM PDT Hey guys! I spent some of my quarantine time build a service that will send push notifications whenever you have buy or sell orders fulfilled on the trading post:
gw2 Notifier (I wasn't feeling creative when it came to naming.)
It works directly with modern browsers on desktop or mobile. Clicking on a notification should bring up a list of your current items waiting for pickup, buys, and sells. I hope some of you find it useful!
Some potential features I have been thinking about:
I would love any feedback or suggestions in terms of functionality, design, or ease of use! We have been testing and discussing features in this discord server I set up for the bot. [link] [comments]

Help some noobs with leveling. Posted: 26 Apr 2020 07:14 AM PDT My friend and I just started playing. Between us we have 4 characters we are experimenting with. Each around level 30. We have an elementalist, Mesmer, engineer and necromancer. What I have noticed is that the necro seems to put out waaay less damage than the Mesmer and elementalist. To boot it's also super squishy. I invested in the blood line at 21 and it's helped my survive but my damage still sucks compared to those to who can nearly insta gib mobs. Any tips on what we may be doing wrong? Engineer has much of the same problem. With healing turret surviving is easy but the damage sucks. A guide said to go down explosive line until orbital command but that trait got removed in Feb and nothing has been updated. TLDR early game necro and engi tips please. We are having a hard time being motivated to level them because they seem so lack luster. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:56 AM PDT Been looking at gearing out my main in ascended gear for a while and there seems to be loads of ways of getting it all somewhat long winded in my eyes. From what I can tell if I have the gold for it just buying the crafting materials seems to be the quickest way but most likely the least efficient way. My question is, for a quick or quick enough way to get ascended gear what would anyone recommend? Ty for any suggestions. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Apr 2020 04:28 AM PDT Hey everyone, I started to play a Weaver like two weeks ago. And Im wondering how some players can reach like 100k+ dps in fractals. At the moment my opening burst is around 35k dps and the overall dps drops down to 10k-25k depending on boss and mechanics. While having BS and Alacrity Renegade around. With all pots and food. My DPS at golem is also around 35k for the opening burst and it drops down to 26k-28k dps overall in 4kk HP and large hitbox. Im at around 190 AR, having 7 mighty infusions, and Im using the Runes of Scholar, Sigil of Force and Impact. My other EQ is the following: Helmet: Zerk Shoulders: Assa Chest: Zerk Hands: Assa Legs: Assa Feet: Zerk Everything else: Zerk Im using the weaver build from discretize except that I swapped unravel for primordial stance. Thanks for any help and idea. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2020 04:22 AM PDT So i just completed one sequence of meta events in Dragonfall and BOI do u get loads of volatile magic. I converted all that magic to trophy shipments and boom, loads of gold in my pocket. Is Dragonfall currently the best place to farm gold? Or are there other places that outclass it? The Weekly Map Recap - Week 9, Snowden Drifts - The Worst Map in the Game Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:04 PM PDT Welcome to the Weekly Map Recap, a series where we will look back at one map in the game each week. We'll look with a critical eye at how each map represents its theme, proves faithful to its lore, and implements its design. We'll see how effective its gameplay is, whether the art holds up, and the forecast for the map's long term retention. With 51 maps to date, it'll be quite the journey! Links to the previous entries in a reply at the bottom! 9 of 51 - Snowden Drifts - Level 15-25Snowden Drifts is the second map for Norn players, unless they choose to go to Diessa Plateau instead. It is a map of… not a great deal. Snowden Drifts is primarily a means of getting elsewhere - it is a connection point directly between the western and eastern portions of the vanilla Tyrian map. Theme/Concept - 3/10The theme of this map can be easily worked out by playing a little game. Take the two words that make the name of the Zone, Snowden Drifts. Then delete the 'den' from Snowden. And voila, you have it! Snow drifts. Seriously, there's not a lot here. The theme does really seem to be 'snow, there's a lot of snow, okay?' It's as if the design team was sitting around and planning out maps, and they decided 'well, one of them has to be the worst.' Lore - 3/10This map contains three places of note in the lore. One is a shrine to Owl, a lost Spirit of the Wild. The lore is mainly that the spirit is sad because she is dead. Next, we have the Kodan Sanctuary. The most interesting spot on the map, it introduces the Kodan to us and the Largos. It does not give many details on either. Finally, we have Jalis' Refuge, a jumping puzzle which reveals that King Jalis liked alcohol. Get it? Because he's a dwarf. That's what dwarves like, right? Design - 2/10Snowden's Drift is flat, with very little in the way of content to break up that flatness. There is a section in the center that rises in a large hill, capped with a bridge that is often down due to a failed event. Before mounts, this was bothersome. Now, it is irrelevant. Players are intended to move east to west. There are not really any particularly interesting landmarks to guide your journey. There are svanir ice forts and nondescript Lionguard Havens. Gameplay - 1/10This map is interesting in its complete lack of meta events. The 'meta event' that is present is a short chain about the selection of a new Claw and the assassination of the Kodan leader by the Largos. It has low stakes and less interesting gameplay than it has stakes. The only bright spot on the map is the Guild Mission and the Beetle Race - one of the best of the Beetle Races. Art - 2/10Any art which the map contains that is not bland - like the Kodan settlement or the Owl Refuge - is done better on other maps, and in more interesting ways. Other than that, it is white and dull. Long Term/Retention - 2/10The map contains little to recommend it other than the aforementioned Guild Missions and Beetle Race. I suppose there are… achievements? Personal Story episodes for Norn? Overall - 2/10Snowden Drifts is the worst map in the game. I don't say that lightly. It's just aggressively mediocre, with some interesting bits (such as the Kodan town and the largos assassin) overwhelmed by flat white nothingness. It doesn't get worse than this. But hey, with the rest of the maps we've got nowhere to go but up. -------------------------------------------------- That's it for today! Next week, we'll be headed to Gendarran Fields. What do you think of today's map? Any fond memories, or strong complaints? How well do you think this map stands up in comparison to all the others? [link] [comments]
WvW Return to nearest waypoint Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:55 AM PDT Why isn't there an option to return to the nearest WP automatically on death in WvW? Most of the time people aren't around to revive you or, if they are, they are in combat probably. I just want a check box in the menu for this please. [link] [comments] |
