Posted: 11 Feb 2020 11:31 PM PST I played GW1 extensively as a kid, it was the first complex game I fully immersed myself in. I loved it thoroughly. I for some reason moved on and hadn't played for about 10-11 years. My original account is lost and gone forever sadly but I just bought a new account with all 3 plus EotN. I'm so fucking excited to be back I can't contain myself! The music, the artwork, the animations and the storyline. I made a warrior because I never did but always wanted Kurzick warrior armour. I'm starting in proph so it'll take awhile but I only ever owned factions so this is a whole new journey. Before I logged off some nice person, member of the LGiT guild gave me some tips/info, answered some questions and even gave me a few thousand gold to get started again. So glad there's still a lot of people playing. So far there's been at least a few in every outpost and Kamadan was so full I couldn't believe it. I'm just so happy to be back. Looking forward to turning this fresh account into a legend and playing with you all. EDIT: Since this account is fresh I'll be looking for friends to play with so if anyone wants to play through the campaigns with me or just meet up in game send me a message! [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Feb 2020 03:55 AM PST Hi, Sorry if this topic is annoying. I know this question has been probably asked 1000 times now, but I have looked through most resources I could find and still can't decide. I have a feeling that first hours on each char (I've made a few and played for 1-2h each) I've spent don't really reflect the final playstyle of the profession. I am looking for a 'reactive' type of play (as opposed to standing and pressing buttons). I am aware that I can create one of each and just give them a try but not enough time (and will) to play through the same quests couple of times. I'd really like to enjoy the story while having fun killing stuff. At the moment I am mostly considering Necro, Ranger or Mesmer. I would appreciate any info that would help me decide. Thanks for your time. PS I have access to all campaigns. [link] [comments]

Need help handling target aggro Posted: 12 Feb 2020 12:31 AM PST Still relatively new to the game and still learning all the mechanics more in depth. A problem i have been running into as of late in some of the later Factions expansion area has been mobs focusing everything damage wise on my character while AI take nothing. Since everything is being focused on my character I keep dying and then having to restart over and over in the same area due to death penalty. I am playing as a E/N fully armored and geared, but when my character gets popped by a boss and mob all focusing in a span of 6 seconds i die. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
