| [X] class that was completely unused before Tuesday is totally broken today Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:06 PM PST X class is completely broken in this absolutely new meta that we haven't thoroughly tested to find other classes that are viable. For instance, now that Y and Z were nerfed, X is totally 100% better than Y and Z in every form. Why is X so much better than Y and Z after this patch that we've only had 3 days to mess around with, that was specifically designed to root out unhealthy classes that revolved around unhealthy mechanics that Y and Z had. Personally, I'm hoping by nerfing X; A, B and C will become viable despite not testing to see if there's an A, B, and C build that is viable after this patch that came out 3 days ago. We need a hotfix for X right now. And by the way, if A becomes too good we'll need a hotfix to it too. And B and C. (Because ultimately deep down I want Y and Z to be the best again but with with slightly different damage numbers I didn't think this patch would actually make X good help I have no practice on X) [link] [comments] | ||

| Old Story Details: The Mesmer Collective Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:55 AM PST Hello I've been playing through Season 2 for the 4th time, this time with my Mesmer. In Episode 5 Echoes of the Past, Reunion with the Pact, which has tons of rather interesting dialogues like Rox with some random Blood Legion chump, the PC can talk to Braham right before talking to the Zephyrite Aspect Masters. Braham asks some questions about Jory and Kas and their relations with the Priory. The PC answers that Kas is a member of the Mesmer Collective and not the Priory, which I didn't even know existed. Wiki says that aside from this, it got mentioned only once during LWS 1, and that was pretty much it. Its always interesting to find out some random story details tied to GW2's earlier days. There being a secret Mesmer society is fascinating, and next to E's identity, one of the most mysterious story details from Seasons 1 and 2. E did get some mentions in Season 3 Episode 4 The Head of the Snake, but we learned nothing new about him. Anyone got any other fascinating story details that are sort of hidden in instances?

| Isn't this a good time to refocus on guilds? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 05:20 AM PST With no new expansions shouldn't the focus be on developing a sense of community among GW2 players? New maps and metas are wonderful and a bit more attention to pvp has been nice. But there isn't a substitute for a couple of in game goofballs to hunt bounties with. I very much play solo but talking with guildies about random junk has slowed burn out and made me want to return more quickly. It seems like a good time to introduce something like guild level 80. With options for ascended (maybe even legendary?) armor which require guild commendations, x amount of hours repping, and a max level guild. Specialized weapon and armor skins. PvE metas bonuses for repping like 10s. Little tags in chat to show which guild a person is with. Guild hall somewhere in the north on a new map. New guild missions with rewards bumped up to 1, 1.2, and 1.5 gold weekly based on difficulty. Maybe have a persistent mission that acts like a daily but lasts a week and you can only participate and be rewarded if you rep and only 1 guild will get the participation. Perhaps have something like weekly maguuma gatherer. Guild fractal bonuses. [link] [comments] | ||

| Counter to Tanky Core Necros in 2v2? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 04:01 PM PST They tried so hard to prevent a bunker meta and right out the gate we get death magic core necro! I'm having a hell of time knowing what to do against them. Now don't get me wrong, I've won games against them sometimes, but I was wondering if anyone has found a strong counter to it?
