[EU] - Caudecus Manor Dungeon Tutorial for new players - Today at 3pm (UTC), (16:00 Berlin time) Posted: 15 Feb 2020 04:08 AM PST Hello everyone! Today I'm making a special offer to players on the EU servers who have reached level 40 on their character. What are we going to do: We will clear all 3 explorable paths from Caudecus Manor within about 45 minutes (time varies based on experience of the group). This rewards you with at least 1 gold 83 silver, as well as more than two full level ups. I explain strategies commonly used in this dungeon by people who attempt to clear it as fast as possible I explain generally useful strategies and concepts new players aren't taught by the game We will take some time for the first path, the second and third path will be rather quick afterwards. What are your requirements: A positive attitude towards your fellow players. A character above level 40. A decent understanding of written English, and don't be shy to ask questions and respond to my questions. Be able and willing to follow orders and explanations. If you are not there to follow the tutorial, you don't need the tutorial. We are not going to play the dungeon the way it was meant to be played, we are going to use strategies to avoid fights and save a lot of time - just like an experienced group would! How can you participate: Be on any of the EU servers. Before 3 p.m. server time (UTC), 16:00 Berlin Time, you can add me (REMagic.8937) as a friend and join my party. At 3 p.m. I will post an LFG in the section Caudecus Manor to fill the remaining spots. Can I join when I am already experienced? I would love to play this with Newbies, but being level 80 or even a veteran obviously won't exclude you! I require you to be patient with new players and accept that we take some time to complete the paths. Applause to Anet's timing of their punishment system Posted: 15 Feb 2020 08:29 AM PST So, happened to me today, got dc'ed from a Ranked PvP game, due to unexpected loss of internet connection and as a result of that I got reported (I guess I did) by my teammates (which is understandable). Managed to got my connection up and running again and re-joined the game towards the end and we lost (no surprise there). So fast forward 2 hours while I'm in the middle of a Ranked PvP game, a message pops up saying something like "Account suspended due to violation of something" resulting my game to automatically shut down. Reshade 4.5.4 with arc and dx12proxy thingy Posted: 15 Feb 2020 08:01 AM PST so the only way I can get all 3 to work is to use the old reshade 4.3. If i use any rehsade above this the game crashes when I have arc and d12proxy dlls in my bin folder. is this a known issue? An easy bump to rewards [opinion] Posted: 14 Feb 2020 01:46 PM PST When it comes to rewards, a legitimate complaint is that most of the "good drops" are locked behind insane RNG. Anet has long stated that they don't want the game to be about grinding, but to get an item you really want (infusions, rare weapons like the lightward battle staff) you need to do the same content over and over again (grind) and pray for insane luck, or grind gold. I suggest Anet takes a page from FFXIV, where defeating a boss gives you a token along with the chance at their usual drops. This way, even if RNGesus forsakes you, there's still a very real possibility to get the items you want. Drakkar could be made to drop a daily token, and the vendors could sell his ascended weapons for like, 15 tokens, 500 ice shards and like 25g (that's 2 weeks of gaming for an ascended, might be low idk). This would make the event feel rewarding, and it would give extremely casual players access to ascended weapons (and help reduce the damage gap by a slight bit (I know, wishful thinking).). Maybe Drakkar is a bad example, but adding tokens to strike missions or world bosses and giving us a vendor similar to the dungeons one would definitely make doing those events more exciting (especially to veteran players). Let us buy exotics or a weekly cap of bags of trophies. Or even better, let us buy stat infusions (ex: +5 power, -1% damage received in open world) with these tokens.
