I want to buy your game that you've worked so hard on. But I want to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I don't want to spend money on mount skins and costumes anymore, I have plenty. I don't want to spend money on template slots or character slots anymore. What I want is a new class, or a new race, or a new Elite spec, or some new way to customize my character's abilities, and I will give you money for that. What I want is a new WvW map that changes the way we do large-scale PvP that ties into an overarching story. What I want is to shake the game up in ways that only a full-featured expansion can. And I will pay you money for that. I respect and appreciate the free story updates, but there just isn't enough content that affects the game as a whole. When I go back to Lions Arch to check my auctions, I don't really have any proof that I've been playing the Icebrood Saga (which has been a pretty enjoyable story so far). The living story benefits exist almost exclusively in Living Story right now. I've given so many hours to this game, and had countless fond memories about it, but man am I finding it harder to log in. If there was the equivalent of Nightfall or even Eye of the North, you better believe I would drop dollars on it in a heartbeat to support you. Some have been nice, albeit limited, and then mounts have been pretty great. But after those, most are just gates for boxes/doors. What if instead, masteries that effected other QoL and utility aspects of the game became the norm? One example could be the AoE harvest glyph. Its not anything special and is only really useful in a handful of situations. Yet at the same time, if you could grind out and unlock a mastery that made all your harvest swings AoE, itd be a nice account boost without being a power creep--actually worth a mastery. Obviously I would like a Melee Auto Attack since Revenant already has 2 two hander ranged weapons now. I would like a blade storm like channeled spin attack that has AoE Pull effect. Would like an ability that strikes places AoE taunt on enemies, so it would be a good tank weapon to go with dwarf. I'm not sure how dedicated or how hard the employees work to give us the content they do, but no matter i ALWAYS appreciate whatever they do. But now hear me out. The world of Tyria is supposed to be big...much bigger than what we can see on the current world map. and one thing bugs me about that...is that we have never explored anywhere outside of mainland Tyria as we know it. Check out this map here. That square is Tyria and all the content available to us in the game. (about 6% of the total area of this map) https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/en/uploads/forum_attachment/file/172624/charrland.jpg I know we have elder dragons to slay...but these other areas beg to be explored, perhaps finding out some new technology, new race of people or whatever we've never seen before that allows us to fight these dragons...hey maybe we could even just lay off the dragon plot and just see what's out there? I can understand if nobody agrees or likes my sentiment, but it makes me feel a bit sad that these areas of this game world may never have any lore, or have anything to do with the development of this games history. | I think Anet needs to showcase premium stuff a little better in-game Posted: 18 Jan 2020 08:15 AM PST First of all, sorry if this had been already suggested, but I couldn't find a related topic I just got my Black Lion Exclusive Mount Selection box and I was almost immediately going to get the Gallant mount for raptor, but then I saw this video: https://youtu.be/pDJ5ciFEYyY and they talk about effects when the mount is summoned, when they use skills, custom sounds and a lot of fancy stuff that is not shown when you preview the skins in-game... I know it's no biggie since there are dozens of videos showcasing the mounts on YouTube made by people that bought them, but it definitely would be much better to see that without alt-tabbing to a web browser. Also, dye options preview would be nice too! Can we maybe sees these currencies addressed/standardized with other holiday currencies (candy corn and candy corn cobs, zhaitaffy and jorbreakers, snowflakes and snow diamonds, etc)? I'd rather be able to add these to my material storage than have them take up bank space. | Will the big PVP balance patch bring you back to pvp? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 12:19 PM PST I really enjoyed vanilla pvp, outside of some balance issues (5 eles anyone?). I played HOT pvp for a little while but didn't really get into it. I don't enjoy PoF pvp. My issues with HoT and PoF were the power creep changing the pace of the game. With giant nerfs coming I am excited to play some more gw2 pvp! Outside of the story I don't do anything in gw2 these days. My two worries are that Anet won't go far enough with the nerfs, or that people will feel too disconnected with the classes if they are significantly weaker in pvp. | Starting living story 4 question Posted: 17 Jan 2020 02:18 PM PST Been away from the game quite a while, and only just completed the POF storyline. Working on getting my griffon, and thinking about living story 4 thereafter. I'm curious what you guys think. What would be the easiest completion of living story 4 between these 3 options? Condi scourge necro, power chrono mesmer, power guardian dragonhunter. I enjoy all three equally, and just want to knock out LS4 as easiest as possible. Any opinions very welcome! Thanks! | How to fix mouse flicker issues on 4K TV? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 10:22 PM PST So I have a computer setup to a 4K TV, and when scaling DPI and all that jazz to 4K, the game looks great and plays well, except the mouse disappears behind everything unless you move it and it flickers. I tried downloading yolomouse as I read this can help, but upon opening that program it immediately hides every window underneath the desktop and I have no resources online on how to fix this. Can anyone please help me with this issue? Also is there a way to make the UI larger than larger for a 4K TV? [link] [comments] |
