I'm liking the game so far i'm just concerned with the longevity of it, I mean how much does it cost to maintain a server? I don't know but I can't imagine its very cheap at all. Posted: 05 Jan 2022 05:40 PM PST Apologies for the late post, it seems the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock was updated at some point but not included in the release notes - only found out yesterday. I have just completed updating the Wardrobe Unlock Analyser site for the changes. Here is the list of new skins that the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock can now unlock:

| Struggling with core Ranger/Soulbeast, need advice (WvW/PvP) Posted: 06 Jan 2022 09:41 AM PST So I know Ranger isn't the hardest class to play and it's favored by a lot of new players, and it also offers very safe gameplay thanks to longbow skills. But I'm struggling so hard to be even competent with it. Coming from playing classes like Revenant, Reaper or even Engineer, Ranger feels very unwelcoming to play. (Note I have less than 10 hours of gameplay with ranger so I may be totally wrong, I'm here asking for advice and opinions) First, you don't have much tankiness but you also don't have many tools to survive damage. Sure you have many stunbreaks and CC immunity with Dolyak stance, but your only hopes to defend yourself are greatsword #4, longbow #4 and counter pressuring, which is extremely hard against classes like condi mirage, ele or Mesmer. Second, I tried this pvp build of core ranger with axe/dagger. I have no damage, I have no pressure on the enemy. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Third, blind hurts. You have to hit Maul for the big numbers, but with blind spams is impossible, not to mention hitting Maul+#5+Maul. And people can counter your longbow by running through your character model, which makes the weapon nearly useless. Fourth, most of the times I play against Rangers I feel their pets are a pain to deal with. But when I play Ranger I feel my pet is useless, as either core or Soulbeast. I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I picked Engineer which is arguably more complex mechanically and didn't struggle this hard. [link] [comments] | ||

| [NA] Monthly Heart of Thorns Map Completion Event Posted: 05 Jan 2022 01:15 PM PST Another month has come and gone, and it's time for another monthly map completion event! On Saturday, January 8 at 10:00 AM PST (UTC-8), I will be leading a map completion train through all of Heart of Thorns on the NA megaserver. No waypoints, mounts, or masteries are needed aside from the ones listed below. We will be covering the entirety of base Heart of Thorns, including hero points, mastery points, strongboxes, waypoints, points of interest, vistas, jumping puzzles, and hidden achievements. Yes, you read that right. EVERYTHING. For the train, please make sure you have:
Tentative Itinerary for the Day (in PDT time)
This will be a full day event, so you are welcome to hop in and out. I will be trying to keep the map as full as possible with overflow squads, but I can't guarantee you a spot if everything fills. This event will also be live-streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/emidotexe. Swing by, say hi even if you're not on the train! I'll be answering most questions there; plus, it might be helpful to have it on in the background since I tend to give warnings/information during the train itself. I will be playing on my Chrono 'Emi Nyaa'. Squad will be up at 10 PST exact. The first 10 minutes will be reserved for whisper invites only. Once it hits XX:10, the squad will be up in LFG → Heart of Thorns → Verdant Brink. Everything is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so getting there early will ensure you have a spot in the squads. | Posted: 06 Jan 2022 11:58 AM PST I'm a fairly new player, I recently got back into the game about a month ago and I hit max level a few weeks ago on my guardian. Ever since reaching max level, I've gone through my personal story and currently on Entanglement of Living World Season 2. I've also been playing a lot of ranked conquest and dabbling in wvw. I don't have any elite specializations unlocked, but my goal was to get 100% map completion of core Tyria before moving onto the next story step. I've been looking at the rewards for some of the old maps associated with Living World Season 2, for example in Dry Top, there are Geodes I've been collecting and other misc stuff I'm finding that might be worth collecting later for cosmetics. One of the bigger problems I'm encountering is the lack of having an elite specialization and only having the raptor mount. I'm wondering if it would be best to go through the story and then come back later once I have all the mounts and hero points? I've been told for hero points I can join an HP train, but I'm unsure if I want to do that with my first character. I've just noticed I'm at a big disadvantage when I don't have half the mounts other players do lol. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 06 Jan 2022 04:17 AM PST There are some guides that tell it can be a great benefit if you invest in certain Legion Commendations on Drizzlewood. Example: https://fast.farming-community.eu/farming/dailies I am just confused how exactly this works. Today, it states that 250 Frost Legion Commendations might be a profit of 1g29s. When I buy that, I get a chest with ressources, if I get this correctly. Maybe I'm not properly understanding what exactly am I supposed to do in addition to simply buying those commendations. Can anyone please explain this to me? Whenever I search online I only find guides that show the current status but not an in-depth explanation. [link] [comments] | ||

I know GW2 is horizontal progression kind of game, i've got a couple of level 80's but i've never done any endgame stuff or am i aware of what goals there are, i've only leveled so far and get discouraged once i reach max level because i have no idea what to do. Posted: 05 Jan 2022 12:06 PM PST So, it all started when I discovered my passion for Mesmer Mirage and how fun it is playing this class, and as I do with every character, I do fashion wars 2. So after looking more in the wardrobe, I saw a chest piece (specific the Bladed Vestments) that look good on my Sylvari Mesmer, and after going to the wiki saw that there are only 2 ways to get this armor. One is getting a lucky drop from the legendary wyvern Matriarch and Patriarch, or getting after completing the night event on verdant brink up to Tier 4 which is the only guaranteed way to get. I am grinding this for about 2 weeks now, and only did two meta events that got close to tier 4, all the rest people only show on the bosses in tier 1 still. I try to start a squad, calling people to help out with the meta event but no luck... people only care for matriarch and AFK farming. I just wanted to rant a little cause this is frustrating, I wish that was another way to get this armor besides doing this meta, sorry for the rant. Update: So I finally got a coordinate guild to help me out to do this meta event and was pretty awesome, Finally got my Mesmer the look she deserves. Thank you to everybody who gave me tips and told me to still keep looking for a group to do this Event... love this community! [link] [comments] |
