Posted: 03 Sep 2021 10:51 AM PDT Light of Dwayna. Spell. Resurrect all dead party members in the area. They are returned to life with 25% Health and zero Energy. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Light_of_Dwayna Has to be one of the least used skills in all of GW. I even forgot the icon. I'm pretty sure I have never seen someone use this. Can anyone else think of skills they forgot existed, then rediscovered and had a "oh yeah, that skill exists" moment? [link] [comments]
Party member loot not graying out? Posted: 03 Sep 2021 09:14 AM PDT I'm having an issue with any group clears, all the drops for everyone show up initially fully highlighted like they're assigned to me, and I have to hover my mouse over everything for it to gray out. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when I'm trying to loot a dungeon chest with 8 other people. Does anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]

Opinion: Botting should be allowed Posted: 03 Sep 2021 07:37 PM PDT I returned to the game ~6months ago and had tons of fun. But eventually I got bored of being limited to what builds I could play due to bad hero AI. Luckily creating bots for GW is easy thanks to the GWCA framework (the same framework powering GWToolbox). So I combined BehaviorTreeCPP with GWCA to build my botting framework. BehaviorTreeCPP has a program called Groot which is a GUI for building the behavior trees. This combination allowed me to build bots at a rapid pace. Unlike the hero AI which needs to be able to use all skills my custom-made bots could play all specs at a human or superhuman level thanks to knowing the status of all targets at once and being built for specific skills. What keeps it from being too OP is that positioning is difficult to program so humans can do that better. But now I feel like I've unleashed the true potential of GW which to me is the fun of trying new builds. I'm no longer limited by the hero AI. My bots can use PvE skills. I don't use it for making money but purely for build crafting. But imagine the potential of allowing bots:
Of course some people would still just make bots for farming or title farming. But who cares? To me at this point in the game with no new content it's all about the challenges I make for myself such as ironman or title grinding. I really just enjoy being able to play different builds. Melee heroes famously suck. Melee bots don't. They can target and use their ability as well as you. No need for running a boring mesmerway setup to play optimally instead you can have bots following you around like heroes but being melee or any other build you could ever want. And thanks to BehaviorTreeCPP and Groot you can build a simple bot in minutes or a human+ level bot in hours without any prior programming experience. People could share bots like templates since each bot is just a string (xml document). I know botting is frowned upon but I still think 99% of people would enjoy playing with better AI. Thoughts?
