    Helping new players - introduction to Fractals

    Hi all, for some time I was thinking, how to give back something to the awesome GW2 community :)

    Ideal I would like to test is to do new player focused event / meta runs, to help them discover post lvl80 content. And remove bit of the confusion there is for new players :) Events I have in mind:

    ​

    • Introduction to Fractals
    • Introduction to Silverwastes RIBA + CF meta
    • Introduction to HoT meta train
    • Introduction to Drizzlewood meta train

    Core idea for all is same - tag up as commander, LFG with note "new player friendly", send prepared messages to squad chat with explanations of current activity. With that run a stream, explaining all of this + few additional notes + AMA.

    And make it new player friendly - explain what is RIBA, why we skip rest of Verdant Bring meta, why we wait for South lane in Auric Basin, why we run endless circles around Blighting towers etc :)

    I really like those metas & Fractals, I already ran them few times as a commander and I would like to help new players to enjoy them too.

    First event will be today, since we have the Fractal Rush event :) There are still 2 spots free in party, feel free to ping me in-game if you are interested - CorwinCZ.3146
    We will start at 19:00 GMT+1 on EU servers. The stream will be hosted on https://www.twitch.tv/corwincz.

    Any feedback is welcomed :)

    P.S.: I am not sure if I'm breaking rule no. 6, if so I will remove all mentions of stream, leaving just the event and idea description :)

    Ok.

    I started playing MMO games with Shaiya in 2011 cause my mom, brothers, aunt, and grandma played lol

    Than I picked up Warlords of Draenor when it came out and played WoW since.

    It wasn't until 2 weeks ago I got bored AF with WoW because of the lack of reward and lack of content in Shadowlands. Sooooo my boyfriend and I kicked around Guild Wars and oh my lanta I am having so much fun!

    It is a thousand times better than WoW Classic haha and I love how I feel my character can specialize down to the weapon choice hell down to being on land or water. Your skills change 🤤

    Thank you to all the high levels that help with events and to those that rez the newbies like me.

    This game is so neat! I am rolling a Guardian and a Necro so far heehee 💁🏼

    Hello everyone,

    we were in a rush to give you the new builds after the May 14 11th Balance patch for the Fractal Rush event. We have some new builds and changes so let's get started on them.

    1. What's new:

    We reorganized builds in the navigation window on the left to Power Meta Builds, Condi Meta Builds, Good Builds (everything else that became offmeta). This decision was made because everything else would bloat the navigation window which we don't want to happen. It doesn't mean you absolutely have to follow this (PuG will still remain a combination of Meta + Good builds), but these are currently the highest damage output classes we recommend running.

    We also added new builds like Condition scourge, Condition Deadeye, Condition Weaver and most interesting is the alternative to Heal Firebrand with more damage: Zealot Firebrand. This build is useful for parties that are in the transition of swapping to a no-heal composition but still struggle to give up the convenience of having a dedicated healer.

    One thing, that we really want to point out is that many builds work very well in this patch. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to add them all to the website. If you think another build deserves a place on our website hit us up in our discord.

    2. What was removed:

    Sadly we had to say goodbye to Banner Warrior (base warrior) and Power Daredevil and Power Tempest, Heal Renegade build pages. This was due to them being rarely used/niche builds and we already have way too many offmeta builds (now Good Builds category) that overwhelm these builds by a large margin.

    3. Letter of appreciation, guide contributions and Patreon

    I want to thank everybody who contributed to this update.

    Many new learned how to use the markdown editor to contribute guides, showing that even those unfamiliar with web-development are able to contribute to the guides on our website. Our guides are open-source, which means that anyone can edit them and submit change requests via github or discord. Now we also have a new Contributor rank on our public discord for this exact purpose to provide help with guides.

    Finally, if you enjoy our website we would very much appreciate financial support. Our founder Metagame pays about 50€ a month for as long as this site exists although he quit the game a long time ago.     Return to the Living World Spotlight Week #2 + Fractal Rush

    The new Spotlight Week is live, currently these two Season 2 episodes are FREE to unlock:

    Here is a Dry Top Achievements Guide for the ones who need help with some of these achievements and to obtain the others as well.

    Fractal Rush is also live, and the completion of the meta-achievement gives a Fractal Troubleshooter's Star ascended accessory. The Bonus Event NPC sells a Fractal Gate Portal Scroll for 100 tokens.

    How could I know to build up 4 stacks of shield-breaking volatile energy before the mark2 golem boss fight in lws4 chapter 2? Now I have to restart the whole damn escort mission.
