    [art] Shimmerwing Skyscale... so far my most difficult model. The wings are very thin (0.15mm) so there is a high failure rate and I probably won't do more. It's nice but expensive.

    The new meta is grueling and exhausting

    I don't even know where to start. I've never felt more fatigued.

    The new meta is too damn long and the scavenger hunt for treasure chests at the end is annoying as all hell. You are always moving, there are no breaks, and it seems to go on forever.

    The last few minibosses have a really cool design but just feel like a chore after you've been playing the same meta for almost two hours. By the time you kill the claw you just want to log off, but no, you have to fly or jump around the map looting treasure chests in 6 minutes before they disappear.

    Just venting and I hope the meta changes and anet listens to some feedback.

    IMPORTANT: When you launch TacO for the first time with this pack, everything will be turned on and the screen will be cluttered with multiple trails. You have to manually toggle them off in the menu first and left only those you wanna see.

    Installation

    TacO & Markers Installation

    • Download the latest version of GW2 TacO
    • Extract TacO from the archive somewhere - I recommend Guild Wars 2 folder.
    • Download ALL-IN-ONE markers pack from my website.
    • Move downloaded tw_ALL_IN_ONE.taco file into the POIs folder inside GW2TacO folder (do not unpack it!). Override if asked.
    • You may have to allow using archives from other sources in the file properties or repack the archive (just rename .taco to .zip) it as your own if you don't have admin privileges in the Windows.
    • Launch the game in Windowed Full-Screen mode and TacO as an Admin (does not work on Mac).
    • You can toggle my markers in TacO menu -> Filter Displayed Tactical Markers -> Tekkit's Guides ->

    [NA] Monthly Heart of Thorns Map Completion Train

    Hello again /r/guildwars2!

    I took a few months break due to lots of things happening in real life, but I am back with my monthly map completion trains \o/

    For the uninitated: On Saturday, August 1 at 11:00 AM CDT (UTC-5), I will be leading a map completion train through all of Heart of Thorns on the NA megaserver. No waypoints, mounts, or masteries needed aside from the ones listed below. We will be covering the ENTIRETY of base Heart of Thorns, including hero points, mastery points, strongboxes, waypoints, points of interest, vistas, jumping puzzles, meta events, and hidden achievements. Yes, you read that right. EVERYTHING >:D

    For the train, please make sure you have:

    • Shipwreck Peak Waypoint, [&BN4HAAA=]

    • Basic gliding (will get you 95% of map completion)

    • The ability to read

    • A pleasant attitude! <3

    Tentative Itinerary for the Day (in CDT time)

    • 11:00 - 11:30 AM . Preparation and introduction to the train [Giveaway]

    • 11:30 - 1:30 PM . Verdant Brink map completion + night bosses.

    • 1:30 - 2:00 PM . Break time, preparation for Auric Basin [Giveaway]

    • 2:00 - 4:00 PM . Auric Basin map completion.

    • 4:00 - 4:30 PM . Break time, preparation for Tangled Depths. [Giveaway]

    • 4:30 - 6:30 PM . Tangled Depths map completion.

    • 6:30 - 7:00 PM . Break time, preparation for Dragon's Stand. [Giveaway]

    • 7:00 - 7:30 PM . Dragon's Stand map completion (unlocked portion of the map).

    • 7:30 - 8:00 PM . Event wrap-up and final giveaway of Heroic Edition codes. [Giveaway]

    This will be a full day event, so you are welcome to hop in and out. I will be trying to keep the map as full as possible with overflow squads, but I can't guarantee you a spot in the case everything fills. This event will also be live-streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/eminyaa. Swing by, say hi even if you're not on the train! I'll be answering most questions there; plus, it might be helpful to have it on in the background since I tend to give warnings/information during the train itself.

    I will be playing on my Chrono 'Emi Nyaa'. Squad will be up at 11 CDT exact. The first 10 minutes will be reserved for whisper invites only. Once it hits XX:10, the squad will be up in LFG → Open World → Verdant Brink. This is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please don't spam my chat if the squads are full!

    Since the giveaway is directly accessible from the gw2 launcher, I thought it was relevant to post it here. As stated in the rules of the giveaways :

    " Each prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including taxes imposed on his/her income "

    In Belgium, it would cost me 700 euros of custom and local taxes (still worth it ! ) to receive the PC since it comes from the US. :)

    Guards blocking gate to the Crystal Desert from Ebonhawke

    Gw2 might not be a full fleshed open world game since it's maps are all separate instances, but being able to walk your way to other maps through portals goes a long way to make it feel more immersive. Which is why it is so disappointing not being able to reach some maps unless It is by teleporting or playing the corresponding story chapter. Why not have all of them (PoF maps, Lake Doric, Bjoras Marches and Doldrimor Front) linked to core Tyria with portals?. They did it with HoT' maps and it feels great. Gate Guards, vanilla is over, it's time to open the gates!

    Trailer and Cinematic music was composed by Bryan Atkinson.

    "Pantheon" music was composed by Maclaine Diemer.

    Not sure about new renditions of Shadow in the Ice trailer, but the original one was composed by Brendon Williams.

    Battle music has been composed mostly by Stan LePard and Garry Schyman in the Saga, I'm not sure who composed which or if they composed anything at all in this patch.

    Does the Otters Blessing Enrichment have any visual effects?

    A private server (emu) of a 2008 RvR mmorpg is getting twitch drops (which is awesome!). I don't see why Anet still hasn't capitalized on this, and try to grow their Twitch presence.

    The irony is that a player run, WvW game is getting twitch drops, while Anet has abandoned their WvW mode.

    I googled "tastes like peppermint" (name of the new infusion-related achievement) to see if it's some kind of a reference. Turns out, it's an anecdote. Maybe I'm the last to find out though, but here goes :D

    "I recently spent $6,500 on a young registered Black Angus bull. I put him out with the herd, but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow. I was beginning to think I had paid more for that bull than he was worth. Anyhow, I had the Vet come and have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day. The bull started to service the cows within two days, all my cows! He even broke through the fence and bred with all of my neighbor's cows! He's like a machine! I don't know what was in the pills the Vet gave him ............ But they kind of taste like peppermint."
