    My cat frequently naps in front of my monitor like this as my partner and I play together (our computers are side by side). We call it GW2 difficulty: CATastrophe, as kitty frequently presses buttons and covers up the bottom two inches of the monitor, so I can’t see the map or the skills bar!

    I've been talking to people on Discord about the upcoming Amazon Games MMORPG release, New World. It's all been negative talk, essentially. Which got me thinking about the title.

    Amazon Game Studios siphoned off a number of older/high profile developers from a lot of studios several years ago. One of those studios was Arenanet, where they lost a chunk of the original GW2 team - and even the game director at the time - to them changing jobs to go work at Amazon instead.

    The biggest chunk of this happened at probably the single most critical moment of GW2's life cycle - right after HoT released and they were working on PoF. Hell, it's still happening as Mike Z left Anet to go to Amazon.

    The exodus of devs to AGS potentially did who knows how much damage to GW2 as a game, considering a chunk of the people who left were likely senior devs who really knew how the GW2 engine worked.

    And every single product that Amazon Game Studios has released has been an unmitigated dumpster fire, with their upcoming MMO New World looking like it's also going to be hot garbage.

    I didn't really have any important point to make or any complaints, solutions or whatever. It was just something that came to me while talking over the topic with some others.

    TLDR: Amazon Game Studios poached a bunch of talent from Arenanet at a critical point in GW2's history so that they could go make absolutely trash games that no one wants to play.

    Need help with build for soloing world and story

    Hello, recently came back to guild wars after if remember correctly 7 years, the game feels fresh again. Started a new character boosted with the expansion boost, tried condition-mirage from snowcrows.com i like it, but sometimes when soloing champions and elites its really hard to kill them specially when i mess up the rotation, i managed to do PoF (story and world 100%) and now i started with HoT and its just horrible i'm dieing on almost every single elite or champion and even veterans just destroy me. I use exotic carrion gear for my condition mirage, because its cheap and i cant afford to make ascendant gear, for runes i run traveler runes in armor and i use sigils corruption and energy. I'm thinking maybe i should switch to the power variant and maybe chronomancer i dont have much gold (around 30), but from what i counted i could afford a full set of berserker gear.

    Could anyone give me some tips and ideas how to not get destroyed in HoT maps (please link builds if possible)?

    Is everyone aware of PvP botting, or?

    Been getting into ranked PvP for the last couple months, and I can't believe how often I run into non-human players. Their mechanical movement, default armour, the fact all of them play mesmer gives it away. I cannot believe Arenanet have allowed this to become normal in ranked, and in the game in general. Is this community aware of the problem? Does Arenanet care? Does anyone care? Why is this not a bigger discussion?

    PSA: You cannot use both the new zhaitaffy gobbler and the snowflake one

    *At the same time

    If you have "boost A" and buy a "boost B" from the other gobbler, "boost A" will dissapear.

    Also, the tooltip on the "boon-bar" is wrong: it's a 15-minute booster, not a 30-minute one (so, exactly like the snowflake booster).

    The difference here is the material consumed (25 pieces of zhaitaffy per 15 min) and a chance to get a Dragon Coffer instead of a Wintersday's Gift.

    Ran fractals for a week and had 2 ascended drops, both salvaged due to the stats being not what I need. Leveled leatherworking 1-500 but damn: zojja's set is like 300 gold all together. Any other way to get ascended gear or is this it?

    Ascended Armor or Ascended Weapon first?

    Ok, so I am jamming my exotic gear in WvW and collecting items for the ascended gear. I was wondering if I should go for a weapon or armor first? What will have more impact on the pvp? I am running condi/trap ranger.

    Consistently disconnecting at a specific time during story instance

    Every time I get to te HoT main story quest step "Join ruka" and I have to place the egg to activate the ancient exalted city in the Auric basin, I disconnect.

    Playing a humman reaper. Genuinely not sure what to do, as I've tried three times now and the disconnect only happens then.

    Any tips?

    Please, for God's sake! Please listen when someone says to pull the mobs to the center to kill as much of them as effectively and quickly as possible with heavy DPS! And also PLEASE CC the bosses!
    It's so sad that people still don't know about these mechanics...
